Dr. Mohammed Adel Elkousy, MD

Let's face it when we end up in the care of a physician like Dr. Elkousy it's because things are going less than perfect. Nature usually does a decent job of handling pregnancies but Dr. Elkousy stepped in when my wife's OBGYN couldn't provide the level of care we needed. Dr. Elkousy is a hero in my book for keeping my wife and beautiful baby girl safe.

My husband and I are so in love with Dr. Elkousy. He's excellent. The man is knowledgeable and so caring. His bedside manners is over and above human expectation. He's calm and collected. I'm rest assured that we are in good hands. The whole office is great especially the Landsdowne location. There is one tech (very lady lady) at the fair oaks location that i'm not too keen on, only bcos she has zero personality. I have seen 3 doctors so far and they are absolutely amazing. Dr Elkousy is definitely walking in his calling. Dr. Elkousy, thank you for being an instrument through whom God is using to save our babies! We love you

I don't have a clue where all the negative ratings are coming from based on my experience, but maybe the reviews have helped them step up their game. I go to the one in Landsdowne. Front desk staff are friendly and happy to help. Techs are also friendly and professional. Dr. Elkousy is wonderful! Calm, assuring, and takes his time to explain what he's looking for or seeing. I always feel so much better and reassured after my appointments. I would use them again and absolutely continue to give them a great recommendation.

Horrible experience from beginning to end , no bed side Manor or kind nature from anyone at the office .

It seems like doctor misleading, they will do tests which you don't need it. they charge for money for different reasons. They say like they'll refund next visit.

We were referred to MFAMA by my OB since I have a high risk pregnancy and although not all the doctors there are as nasty as Dr.Elkousy I would never go back and would NEVER recommended to anyone. Dr. Elkousy lacks of respect and understanding, we were been charged with services we never received or never were aware of and whenever we would ask for an explanation he would get upset and tell us "you wanna make sure your baby is fine, right?" The thing is, I'm sure many people who visit his office are wealthy and they don't care about paying tons of money for a mediocre service, but we are not all lucky enough. Some of us, can't afford a $400 and up doctor's visit every 2 weeks but we try because its not about money but the well being of your child but the least you expect when doing everything you can to afford it is receive good service, have a doctor who will explain reason with manners and understanding. A doctor is supposed to help you, talk to you, explain one or 10 times whatever… doubts you have not to tell you that because your child's health is important you have to have done everything they tell you without further explanation. Don't waste your time ladies, this doctor is not worth it a penny...

I have a high deductible plan. This is the first office I have ever been to that requires you to pay the full amount before billing your insurance. I had a bill of $578 as soon as the visit was over. When the office billed my insurance, my HSA auto paid the amount billed. I paid the same bill twice and had to call the office to get my funds returned. Secondly, the doctor seem disinterested and somewhat arrogant. This wouldn't be my first choice but I'm not sure there are too many options.

Best high-risk doctor ever! Professional, courteous and kind. Great bedside manner! Consider yourself lucky if you have Dr. Elkousy as your doctor!!

I was referred to this practice because my 18 week sonogram showed multiple abnormalities. Dr. Elkousy is not the only doctor I have met in the practice, but he is definitely the one I'd recommend if you have a choice. He took time to explain each potential problem. I know he had other patients, but he made us feel like he had all the time in the world. When my husband had a question about a specific finding, Dr. Elkousy turned the ultrasound back on to show us exactly what he was looking at and explain why it might be a concern. Another thing we appreciated was his manner. He was calm and kind. It can be very stressful, knowing that there are potential problems, but not being able to identify them yet. He was careful, in his discussion, to explain things. He did not, as some might, couch potentially serious issues with vague platitudes. He explained things clearly, but calmly and kindly. The office staff is not as warm, perhaps, as many other offices I have visited, but… they are quick and competent. The technician who did my ultrasound was really very good as well. As was the genetic counselor.

My obgyn referred me to MFAMA for a level II sonogram and consultation. The office staff is rude, no hello, how are you or a smile. Nothing, just here, fill out these forms.The technician was even worse. She made almost no eyecontact with me and my husband, I don't even remember her introducing herself. No bedside manners and she had no idea how to talk with a patient, how to explain what is going to happen, why and what the next step is. After 15 minutes of sonogramming me she left the room without saying bye, or nice to meet you.The doctor was distanced, cold and had I not asked additional questions, he would have not given me and my husband more information than: " the baby is fine". When I asked quesitons he seemed annoyed. Instead of saying goodbye he said: The back door is a shorter way to get out...GOD! The only kind person in the office was the lady who took my copay, at least she smiled and said bye to us. Don't even waste your time on them, find another practice.
