Dr. Monica Bali, MD

Dr. Bali is a good doctor but has terrible bedside manner. She treats her patients and employees poorly. My last visit there she almost yelled and talked very badly about her assistant even after that assistant was going above and beyond to accommodate my needs and help me. It seems like a very hostile work environment. This is not the first time I have seen Dr. Bali treat an employee or even a patient badly. She makes you come in and pay for a visit unnecessarily and she almost forces you to make an appointment to see her. I really do not appreciate her attitude and frankly feel bad for her staff. Although she is a good doctor she should take a class on how to work with others and on bedside manner. The office has great friendly staff but all that doesn’t really matter if the provider is rude and unprofessional. Will not come here again and do not recommend anyone come here.

Have been coming here for at least 6+ yrs, she is an ok doctor. I went there for a one time visit initially, then life got me too busy, also a little lazy to find anther PCP. I did like her friendly personality more than anything so I will give her that. In most recent days I had a follow up appointment I had to cancel (didn't see the specialist yet). I received a call from the automated system 2 days prior the appointment to confirm or cancel. So I canceled, but the day of the canceled appointment I got a call from her office asking me where I was...I told them I have canceled 2 days ago. They said the automated system did not saved my cancellation and I have to pay $50 for no-show. I requested to speak to the Manager, she said she was doing her job and I have to pay the no-show fee. So i asked her, if this was worth to lose a patient over because I did cancel. She offered me a call back from Dr.Bali and I accepted. a day later she called back telling me I'm not allowed to cancel… and Dr. Balie said to keep my appointment. I have utilized the mechanism they have in place to cancel or confirm appointments, and I do have the right to cancel if I can't keep the appointment. For me its the principle that counts and if you can't trust your automated system then you should not utilize it. Moral of the story, if you want to be valued then find another doctor/practice, because this is not a free service she is providing.

A referral was refused in a serious emergency situation and she said I'll have to book an appointment. I understood but I was sitting 2m away from her behind a wall and didn't care to talk to me instead she chose to spend that time explaining to her intake receptionist that she would have to see me another day. She shows up at work late.

I will never visit this doctor again. Four years ago, Lab Corp. screwed up my AIDS test and Monica Bali and her assistant had the audacity to tell me that this result (indeterminate) was because I was: 1. an intravenous drug user (I have a fear of needles and can't even stand to have my blood drawn); or 2. having unprotected sex (at the time I was celibate by choice for 5.5 years) and there were some other so called choice reasons. I was a new patient and they did not know me from a whole in the wall and this was said to me. I was then told that I had to wait 14 days for Lab Corp. (who I also do not hold in high esteem) to re-test the specimen. Well, I was visibly angry at that point and let them both know it. I told Dr. Bali and her assistant that I had recently gotten a great life insurance policy through State Farm and tested negative for the AIDS virus. I then packed up my things and left never to return again. I called my Gynecologist who I have been seeing for 15+ years… and told him what happened. He was LIVID and used some choice words. After he calmed down he explained to me that the lab messed up my test results and I went to his office the next day to be re-tested for free - his testing gets done through another independent lab and you know what folks, my results came back negative and remain negative. My best friend and her husband also fired Dr. Bali because they were so dissatisfied with Dr. Bali's unprofessional bedside manner, her staff constantly losing their medical records and her staff calling them up giving them test results for tests they have never taken (can't keep their patients straight). This doctor had the nerve to keep sending me a bill for $20.00 for money I did not owe! LMAO!

Very unprofessional.

I saw Dr. Bali for years often frustrated by her abrupt, talk at me not to me approach. She often diagnosed me properly, but there was always a push for medication and never a real solution to my health issue. The constant wait at apointment times even though I arrived on time finally forced me to find a new doctor.

She is very rude and angry doctor. She has no bedside manner. Doesn't give any time and spend 2 minutes only. She became rude when asked a question

I arrived early for an initial appointment. After an unpleasant encounter with a surly receptionist, I filled out paperwork and then waited in a crowded (about 15 people), hot, stuffy, tiny waiting room for nearly an hour. At that point, Monica Bali came out and told me that since I didn't have an insurance card (although I had the information from the card and had been assured by my insurance company that it should be acceptable), she refused to see me. When I made a new appointment for an initial evaluation, I was told that I would be allowed only 15 minutes.

She doesn't give reports over the phone even if routine blood work is ok. Calls you at the office for nothing so that the insurance company can be billed and makes you pay an extra copay. Is not at all appreciative of patient's concerns.

Worst doctor I have ever seen.
