Dr. Neal Jamison Naff, MD

Dr. Naff worked with me for a number of years post Spinal Surgery. I had a stimulator implant done in 2005. Although it did not work for me at that time (the idea was still new), the Doctor always made me feel comfortable and spoke to me in great detail about treatments for chronic pain. I feel sure that if I saw him today, there would be new treatments for my pain and neuropathy. I would like to get rid of all pain medication because the side effects are so powerful and disrupt the quality of life. Dr. Naff always tries to accommodate everyone who seeks his help. He is a kind and thoughtful Gentleman & Doctor of superior quality.

I saw Dr Naff after having 2 neck surgeries from another surgeon. My workmans comp sent me to him and he didn't list most of my pain issues or pain levels. He also said my injury had nothing to do with work which 2 other workman comp drs said it was. I was so very very disappointed in him. If your a workmans comp case becareful he will sell his soul.

About a year ago, I had an incident where I was suddenly struck with sciatic pain. It was terrible, I ended up at the emergency room that night. I went to 4 other doctors before I saw Dr. Naff, who was highly recommended to me by a coworker. I got an appointment within a week. Dr. Naff recommended surgery right away and I was able to schedule it at Sanai 5 days later. A disk in my lower back had slipped and was constricting the nerve. He fully explained my situation and my limited options. Dr. Naff was the only doctor I saw who understood the level of pain I was in and who wanted to treat the cause, not the symptom. Dr. Naffâ??s staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional in every encounter I had with them. His scheduler facilitated a quick appointment for me for the pre-op physical. I got a number of documents that explained the surgery, how to prepare for it, and info about the recovery process. His PA was very, very helpful the day of surgery and guided the process well. I… was in by 6:00 and out by 5:00 pm. The operation was a success. Although I have what appears to be some permanent nerve damage as Dr. Naff warned, I am doing much, much better.

Dr. Naff was highly referred to me. He took good care of me. I would refer anyone to him for treatment. I couldn't have made a better choice.

Dr naff didn't even do my exam. He sent his assistant in to do my exam and it seriously was a cluster. He was late and acted like he knew nothing about me even though I answered all of his assistants questions .He claims he knows about chiari but come to find out that wasn't true. I feel like it is an interest of his and not his speciality . I waited an hour to have someone tell me to basically deal with my chiari

I don't know where I would be if I had not been recommended by an acquaintance to Dr.Naff. Been to Orthopedics, etc. Decompressed nerve, synovial cyst resection. Office very, very professional. Jeremiah and Nate also very, very professional. Office Mgr. Jessica, unbelievably exceptional. Dr. Naff is the best doctor I have ever been to. I retired after 35 years in health care so I have some idea what I am talking about. I would recommend Dr. Naff to anyone needing a neurosurgeon. Dr. Naff is professional, courteous, and obviously an expert in his field. I would definitely go back to Dr. Naff is needed.

Dr. Naff fully explains the proposed surgery and the reason the surgery is necessary. Then he does exactly what he says. There were no surprises and the whole experience was much better than I imagined.

Dr. Naff and his entire staff are kind and professional everyone went above and beyond to make a very stressful situation for me a much easier and smoother procedure.I would highly recommend anyone in need of his services 100 percent. THANK YOU !!

I had been experiencing lower back pain going down my leg and was having problems walking after a nerve test my primary Dr. ordered. I have a pinched nerve and left disc bulge. I walked into Dr. Naff's Pikesville office expecting to finally get some answers and pain relief. The only thing I got was disappointment! I waited in the waiting room for almost 2 hours. Finally when I was called Dr. Naff's assistant asked me a bunch of questions about my pain and checked my reflexes. Then Dr. Naff came in and told me he just reviewed my MRI scans and he was sorry but could not help me. He then told me he would let my primary physician know and got up to leave. I must have looked like I would cry b/c he then said that this was not the end of the road and I could get some help from a pain center and he left. I walked out so confused. 3 days later my back pain got worse and I could not walk. I was in so much pain I had to go to the ER. After my ER visit my primary Dr. Office told me to… call his office and explain that I have gotten worse and ask if Dr. Naff would take me as a patient. I did so and the girl that answered the phone took my message and said he would get the message in the morning and return my call. The next morning I received a call from the same girl telling me that he would not see me. I have now had 2 cortisone shots in my back and I am waiting for my appt. with another Neuro Surgeon. Dr. Naff could have helped me and prevented all this pain I went through. He did not even ask me any questions about my back pain. I was very dissapointed! He had a very cold personality!

for more than 2 years i had many treatments and heavy dosages of pain medcine, nothing help. until me and my daughter met with Dr.Neal Naff at his office. to discuss why i was having pains in my left leg whenever i take a few steps. Well. on 4/13/11 i had lower - back surgery and today is 2/26/13 and i am pain free thank you Dr.Naff.
