Dr. Olubayo Ayotunde Idowu, MD

I have never experienced a more rude doctor in my life. This was my first time seeing him, and he was the most curt and brash person I've ever encountered. I wasn't expecting him to coddle me, I was expecting him to be respectful and considerate of why I came to see him in the first place. He attempted to intimidate me by overtalking me and not listening. I immediately got him back in line and proceeded with the visit. He's inefficient as well as his staff. They were supposed to request medical records and never did, nor did they inform me. They were supposed to speak with my insurance company, and this doctor had the audacity to tell me they didn't have time to be on the phone. What?! What else are they doing? 3 people and no one had time to speak with my insurance company?That was a lie because they attempted to lie to me about my coverage. So who told them if they never spoke with the company, yet they didn't try to get info on my diagnostic testing. Pathetic.

This is the most horrible doctor I have ever experienced. He has not capacity to listen, but to just yell at everyone. He is a thoughtless jerk that will prescribe medication that is not even necessary. He only gave me samples of the medication I sorely needed to get me out of his office. He is an embarrassment to the profession and the epitome of hypocrisy to the hippocratic oath.

He is very brusque. He makes quick decisions, which is consistent with someone who had practiced medicine as long as he has. However, his communication with me was very brief, and he prescribed treatment without telling me the diagnosis. I had to ask, which doesn't seem like it should be necessary. He is also inflexible in his opinion; again he is experienced so this can be good with regard to a diagnosis, but if you feel a different treatment than he suggests would suit you better you may have a fight on your hands. I have not had reason to switch providers, but it has crossed my mind.

Very to the point. No wasted effort, but attention was on computer, not me.

Dr Idowu responded well to all my symptoms he showed empathy, I followed all his counseling and am glad I visited him. Thank you

His bedside manners are horrible. He was having a conversation on his cell phone while he was attending to my father. And he did not follow up on my father's elevated PSA level. He told us to just leave it alone because 90% of black men will have a high PSA anyway. I sought a second opinion and I'm glad I did. My father had prostrate cancer. Thanks to Dr Lightfoot at Presby Plano, my dad is alive today.
