Dr. Ommar Win Aung, MD

I'm a 30 yr old female, and I've been having a lot of seemingly unrelated health issues over the past two years, but I knew something was not right. Right in my chart, it says I have generalized anxiety and panic disorder, and yet Dr. Win did nothing to help me stay calm. I had done all kinds of research ahead of time, and I told her - I respect that you're the doctor here, I'm just trying to give you all the pieces to the puzzle, because something isn't right and I can't live like this anymore. She dismissed me. She talked over me. She more or less told me I'm fine, I just need to eat healthy and exercise. After pushing, I was able to get a referral for an endocrinologist for my autoimmune issues, but she didn't address my migraines or my extreme acid reflux symptoms, that have been dramatically worsening in recent years. I spent so much time trying to psych myself up for this appointment, because my biggest fear was being told "it's all in your head". I'm not committed to any… diagnosis or labels, I just needed someone who looked at my symptoms and said "you're right, something is off here, let's figure this out together....first we'll try this, and if that's a dead end, here's where I think we should explore next." No. Instead it was, eat healthy, exercise, lose weight, and follow up with your psychiatrist.

Dr. Win has been my primary care physician for over 5 yrs. She always replied to phone calls, always worked in me when busy, and has always been responsive and supportive to my health needs. I trust here completely.
