Dr. Orestes George Rosabal, MD

Waiting an hour and a half and still not here. Other people comment the same thing. He is nothing special and not worth the wait.

Good attention, I received treatment at the consultation. He explained to me and family all about the situation and future following.

this doctor and the office in general are very disrespectful, they don't respect patients time, and the waiting time is between 2 and 3 hours. I've been there twice, the fist time I spent 3 hours and a half. and the second time I had the worst experience I've ever had at a doctors office; since I suggested the doctor an the nurse not to schedule so many patients at the same time(there were a lot of us waiting) Dr Rosabal came into my face in a very aggressive way, of course I left. never again

So I go back to this this Dr for MRI results; appt at 2:30p, he sees me at 5PM, swear. THEN, I'm in agony, meds aren't working, told him otc nsaid's, narcotics, volteran, and celebrex are not working and asked for a steroid injection; He declines, but wants to add more medication to my already not working pharmacy. Umm maybe the science behind that was "kill him off with liver toxicity"? Bottom line, I work in the operating room, I literally work elbow to elbow with all kinds of surgeons all day 40 hrs a week; what's coming next is the truth about how Dr. Rosabal handles YOU when HE HAS HAD A LONG DAY- he does nothing! Poor baby, he wanted to go home, it was 5PM, this patient NEEDED a Rx for a shoulder MRI, and some lidocaine/inj. saline/depo medrol joint injections and since it was 5PM, which I was on time for my appt arriving 2.5 hrs prior, he instead tells me the condition I have, it's going to hurt, and there's nothing he can do for it. He obviously did not look at my chart before… entering my room because he forgot he had injected and x-rayed the shoulder prior. I'm not going to name surgeons I've worked with who had personal things or flights to catch so they cancel procedures/end of the day work, basically saying their warm dinner, or their trip to Disney for which they should have booked LATE FLIGHTS! And put themselves above the patient who sat hours in pain, with an appt. Could he have thought I was seeking narcotics? I TOLD HIM OUTRIGHT Rx MEDICATION IS NOT WORKING FOR ME!!!! I get 10mg hydrocodone already that doesn't work, celebrex, ALL OTCs and I do not want to escalate the strength of drugs. The meds, he doesn't even prescribe; and that's fine. For me he was the end of the road guy, a surgeon because the drugs ARE NOT WORKING, the pain has been getting more and more painful since 2006 and something needed done. I made it clear I just wanted treatment. He clearly only cares about billing your insurance; today's visit could have been handled with a 2 minute phone call! I am inclined to report him to my HMO in the morning when they open. Getting the MRI for the knee diagnosis was like pulling teeth from him; had I not been an surgical technologist, and had I not seen radiologists miss things in their reports by visually seeing it in the operating room for myself I wouldn't have known about this diagnosis because the last MRI missed it. Simply put, if you have a choice, if you want good results, if you do not want yanked around DUE TO HIS SCHEDULE, or if you just want a doctor who knows shoulder and knee anatomy I'd recommend Uribe for knees and Badia for anything upper extremity, also out of Rosabal's office there is a hand surgeon who is great too, Easterling. Badia and Easterling are equally good hand surgeons, Uribe compared to Rosabal is an epic fail. It would be like saying Rosabal is babysitter and Uribe is a professor. Unless it's just putting 2 bones back together it's a TOTAL WASTE to see this Dr in my opinion. He's 60 years old, his pockets are fat enough I guess so he only does easy cut and dry cases. Please take my loss as your gain and go to ANY other orthopaedic surgeon for your condition unless it's simple enough that a lay person could diagnosis it. At his age I think he CHOOSES only to do easy cases.

Dr Rosabal was great. He took time to listen to me, did a full assessment of my condition, & gave good explainations of what needed to be done. He took extra time to work with my insurance company. He is a very caring person.

It is time for this MD to retire.
