Dr Ortiz is an excellent physician

I feel very confident with Dr. Ortiz. I have been seeing him for over 10 years.

I am not sure if it was the provider or his staff, but the reason why I had a poor experience is because I saw this doctor based on a referral from my primary provider. The referral was for menopause. I was already in the examination room waiting for the doctor when someone arrived to say that they hadn't noticed I was there for menopause and that the doctor didn't handle menopause issues. The doctor was ok and was ok nice. However, I felt like I had to repeat myself several times to explain why I was there and he just told me that even though he was an endroconologist, he didn't deal with "women's" hormones and that most endroconologist he knew didn't deal with women's hormones and that I needed to see a gynecologists. I wasted my time. I waited over a month to see the doctor and they didn't even bother to check why I was referred to them until the day of my visit. This makes me believe that they don't read referrals or records until last minute.

Dr.Ortiz is caring, thorough, and explains everything in terms anyone can understand. He never rushes you, and answers any questions you may have. I feel lucky to have him as a doctor. His staff is also great!

Dr. Ortiz was very rude during my visit today. He told me to find a new endocrinologist when I addressed issues with my medication. I have been seeing him for awhile as a run through the motions doctor and would not recommend as I have been wanting to switch for years now. Today’s visit definitely pushed me to do so. I work in healthcare and you definitely do not speak to people that way and definitely do not walk out on an appointment that was not completed. I would give 0 stars but the only way to submit this is to click at least 1.

I went to see this doctor 4-5 times. I found him to be rude and dismissive each time. The office staff was very caring, but frantic, as they are obviously overworked. The office looks like a low-cost clinic and the wait time was 45 minutes. Overall I would not recommend him.

Everything you would want in a doctor. Caring, listens, thorough, friendly and follow up.

Dr Ortiz was very quik with results, but the billing dept double bills . Watch your insurance receipts and save all co pay receipts. Tried billing me multiple times for one visit
