Dr. Patricia Lindquist, PhD

"Dr" Lindquist is the absolute worst psychologist I have ever seen. She was late to the appointment which was only 30 minutes to begin with. She is obviously very disorganized because she started talking to me about why I was there and it didn't sound like me at all. Only after I told her that I wasn't there for those issues did she realize she was looking at the wrong patient's file!! She had to rummage through the stack of papers next to her to find my file. She asked me 2 questions about the general reason of why I was seeking care before she started hounding me about my weight. I have lost weight because of my depression and I explained to her the reasoning behind it. She did not have any compassion at all. She never once said "I'm sorry you're going through that" or "I understand how hard that would be". Nothing even close. She started attacking me about how I was too skinny and that I shouldn't be taking certain medications because they could suppress your appetite. All the while… not even taking into consideration that I had been taking them for years so they clearly weren't the cause of my sudden weight loss. Then when I pushed back by telling her that she had no right questioning the medications I'm taking as that is not in her job title or even her capabilities, she decided to double down and call me anorexic. There is no page in any psychology book that says it's okay to throw out a diagnosis without proper testing. She said that without knowing if I had prior issues with an eating disorder or if I had body dysmorphia. God forbid if I did, she could have sent me into a downward spiral. Within 15 minutes of meeting this woman she decided to harass me by throwing out that I was "purposefully starving" myself and that I must have an aversion to food. I tried telling her many times that I have no issue with eating and that I love food. She wouldn't let it go and kept throwing punches at me. She is a horrible person and horrible at her job. I can't see how she could ever become a psychologist when she obviously doesn't care at all about other people. She took an oath that she would "Do no harm" when she became a practitioner and yet in those 30 minutes that is all she did. She disgusts me.
