Dr. Patricia Anderson Lloyd, MD

Beyond the fact that the office is outdated and has old wooden furniture and seems understaffed, and that she repeatedly cut me off when I tried to answer questions about my health, this practice seems to have no regard for the health of the patients, but rather is concerned with getting money. Patricia Lloyd refused to give me my lab results over the phone after sending me a concerning letter informing me of lab test regularities. She told me that the lab results (that I paid for) were the property of her practice and that I would have to pay for an invoice to receive them. After this I informed them I would be finding a new doctor. Still i have received calls informing me I need to come in for an appointment. I found a new doctor who requested the results, and now, a month later, she still hasn’t sent them over. If what she is doing isn’t illegal, it’s as close to being illegal without getting sued as possible.

First off, I called ahead to get an overview of what info they needed and what I needed to bring. Nowhere was it specified that I had to give my full social security number, not for insurance purposes, but because Dr. Lloyd said so. When I questioned this rule, the Doc shut the door in my face, and sent in her business manager. Upon arrival, the manager then told me I would not be seen without divulging the information. THEN when I asked for my new patient paperwork back, because it had VERY sensitive information written on it, I was told it would go into their records for 10 years. EVEN THOUGH I NEVER BECAME A PATIENT. Since I had no intention to become a patient there, I did not want MY personal information where it could not be protected. (I could literally walk into their doorless records room, unseen, from the patient room they put me in). In addition to this headache, the equipment present in the patient rooms were straight out of the seventies, wood veneer and all. I made the… request to have my files shredded or disposed of, to which again I was denied and left. This is all after I had to park three buildings away, traverse a maze of empty hospital hallways, and was then met with numberless doors. Would not recommend or revisit.

I have not seen Dr. Lloyd since the late 1980s (I no longer live in the ATL area) but remember being quite impressed with her knowledge and a willingness to take a somewhat unorthodox approach. She seemed inclined to think outside the box; she listened and demonstrated a wealth of medical knowledge. I liked her very much. Other reviewers have talked about the condition of her office and her staff, and the reason I'm not giving her more stars is that I agree. Even back then, her staff was sketchy -- I think there was one guy who donned a white coat and pretended to be a doctor for the purpose of obtaining drugs. The office, as I recall, was pretty shabby. Looks like she's still in the old building; a new one was about finished at that time, so there must be some reason why she doesn't move. Rent too high, no doubt. Just wanted to add my observations.

Went here over a month ago. Their scam is to get you in again even though they ignore what you’re telling them in the initial visit. I’ve never had a blood test done and not gotten results. First off the last at the desk is rude and will just hang up on you. Get another job if you’re unhappy. The doctor is rude to her nurses and in general seems to be more worried about your follow up and making sure they get that money than your health. I’ve contacted a lawyer in regards to them as I paid for the results and should get them. Also just in case something big is wrong with me they have a malpractice lawsuit on their hands. Just spare yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

I went in for something very specific. I knew exactly what it was (pre-existing condition), and I knew exactly what was needed to treat it, but she wouldn't prescribe what I needed. She kept prescribing things that I didn't need, if she would even deign to prescribe anything at all. She had me come back very, very frequently for unnecessary check-ups. Also, they charge a ridiculous $120 dollars or so if you miss an appointment. I'm fine with missed appointment fees, but I've never seen one that was more than $75 at most. To top it off, I couldn't afford to keep seeing her, so I stopped. I got bills from the office about the remaining balance, and I paid some of it each month. But they wouldn't cash the checks, kept charging me with $15 "service charges" each month, and threatened to send it to a collection agency if I didn't pay all of it right then. When I tried calling to see why they weren't cashing the payments I'd been sending (and what on earth the expensive service… charges were about), they were closed. In the early afternoon. On a weekday.

I felt as though I had stepped back in time 30 years when I walked into her office. Her office was dirty and looked like it could use a good cleaning crew. The equipment she uses is dated and wore out. I was very unsatisfied with her course of action to resolve my medical problem. I would NOT recommend her to anybody.

This Dr. takes Medicaid patients and as a result she filed me through without any real care. She also kept a three line record of four visits, she said the visits were necessary. Her few referrals, although she told me to find my own, were wrong.After an incident with her staff she was unprofessional and her attitude was disgusting. She's a fright.Bye Bye Dr. Loyd.

I've been going to Dr Lloyd for over a year and thought well of her and her office on the beginning. I got to go in on time the first few times and Dr Lloyd spent a lot of time with me, but when I became an "old" patient things were different. I waited many times for almost an hour, and I felt like all she did was trying to make money off of me. I missed my appointment ONCE, all the other times I was on time, and she tried to charge me 120 dollars! I;m changing doctors..
