Dr. Paul C Celestre

Dr. Celestre performed a discectomy of C5-7. He did an excellent job. I was up walking the same day I had the surgery. He explains everything in understandable terms and is just so nice. His staff are first rate as well. I am very pleased with my experience and definitely recommend him.

Very friendly and caring professional

After months of run around with doctors at another big hospital complex, I’ve finally found the surgeon who is going to take care of me. Dr. Celestre is personable, down to earth and listens to you. Unlike those other doctors at that other big hospital complex, he is not dismissive, he doesn’t try to pass the buck or make excuses for why he can’t/won’t treat you. He makes you feel like a valuable person who is worthy of his time and expertise and he validates what you are going through. I have the utmost confidence in him as a doctor, as a surgeon and as a human being. The staff are great - his nurses, the reception, the people answering the phones. Top notch! The only tiny issue is that parking is difficult. So do plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early so you can circle the south garage for a spot.

Dr Celestre took time to explain my condition, answer my questions and did not “push” surgery on me. I ultimately decided to have a discectomy and am very pleased. Dr Celestre met with me and my family prior to the surgery to explain the procedure and answer any questions. He was thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. If I ever require back surgery again, I’ll definitely be calling Dr Celestre

Within minutes of meeting Dr. Celestre, he told me the only treatment option I had was surgery. When my pain didn’t go away at all after surgery I got a second opinion who told me the surgery I had was a waste and that I still had pain because that type of surgery wouldn’t have helped the symptoms I had. When I reached back out to Dr. Celestre for advice on this, he was very dismissive and told me he had no suggestions other than to have yet another surgery.

Upon meeting Dr. Celestre, he was able to quickly diagnose my cervical spine problem and set a plan for action. While surgery is always a scary thought, Dr. Celestre was able to put me at ease by answering all questions thoroughly and explained the surgery process and recovery period step by step. It is with utmost appreciation and gratitude that I thank Dr Celestre for giving me my life back! I expected my condition to improve after surgery, but am absolutely amazed the results are beyond those expectations thanks to his outstanding skill/expertise. The follow up care I have received from Dr. Celestre and his staff has been top notch and I would highly recommend for any spinal condition.

He is most competent and such an awesome doctor! Could not have asked for better service and care. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't couldn't change one thing!
