Dr Paul S. Jackson, MD

Doesn't answer emailed questions about proposed surgery. Has his nurse do it, no matter how detailed the question. No other doctor in PAMF that I've seen does this. I'm sure he has his reasons, but his nurse is not a neurosurgeon and is unqualified to answer surgical questions. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Dr. Jackson is a gifted neurosurgeon. He took lots of time with me, answered my questions, helped me review my options. He expressed empathy, engaged in eye contact and listened carefully to my concerns and questions. He took time to thoroughly review my MRI and helped me understand its meaning. I believe he deserves the highest marks.

Going to see Dr. Jackson was a huge waste of my time! He didnt even explain the results of my MRI except when I pushed him he finally did say that I have severe arthritis in my lower spine. I had to explain to him that my mother is dying and I cant/wont have surgery or injections until mom had passed as I wanted to be able to spend every minute I could with her. At that point, he told me that I was wasting his time and that I needed to go home and lose weight. Fine, I know I need to lose weight but does that mean you dont have to explain to me what the results of the MRI, that I paid my hard earned money for???? He literally walked out of the room and left me sitting there with my mouth hanging open. Ive been in tears ever since. He wouldnt even refill my prescriptions for pain meds and wouldnt tell me why he wouldnt. So I'm left on my own to deal with severe lower back and leg pain/numbness. If you want a doctor who cares about your health and well-being, this is NOT the… doctor to see.
