Dr Kaloostian is the only doctor I will trust. I had excruciating back pain after my accident. I decided to see Dr Kaloostian for a second opinion and he told me surgery was not necessary, that it would take time for the muscles to heal. Sure enough, after some time I feel like myself again after conservative treatments. He is empathetic, HONEST, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. He has years of experience and is very well-published. I am so glad I found him.

The most empathetic and knowledgeable surgeon I have met. I went to 2 other surgeons before him and he was my third opinion. I felt the most comfortable with him. He listens and took the time to answer all the questions that my husband and I had. Because of his miracle hands, I am now pain free.

Dr K is not only the best surgeon, not only here but anywhere, but he is also the most personable. He always had amazing bedside manner, was honest, and answered all questions. My husband had a month long hospital stay, followed by nearly dying due to a antibiotic injection. Dr K explained everything, was there every step of the way and he sat with me for over 1/2 hour afterward. He came by every day and even worked with my husband to help him walk. That is therapys job, not his and he did it. He was the most compassionate Doctor that I have ever come across! At a follow up visit, he even spent time with my 5 year old daughter, and answered her questions about him cutting her daddy. He left along with us, and even held her hand as we left!! He is leaving Baltimore, and moving back to California and we are so upset. If my husband were to ever need another surgery, we WILL fly to California for it. There is no one quite like him, and you will never find another surgeon who honestly… cares!

I asked for a second opinion so I was scheduled at John Hopkins Medical Center where my son lived. I am very grateful that they scheduled me with Dr. Kaloostian. After looking at my films and my symptoms, he told me I needed surgery immediately. After surgery, I was awake back in my room with no more pain or numbness in my upper spine, neck or face. I had this pain for at least four years and no results of change in problems until I went to Baltimore. He is a very polite, personable doctor and I would not hesitate to have him work on me again or refer to others of his work. I live four hours away and do not mind making the trips to Baltimore to see Dr. Kaloostian.

I had a very long, complicated surgery by Dr. Kaloostian. He is now at Johns Hopkins in MD. While the office and hospital are busy and more fragmented than i had expected by reputation, Dr. Kaloostian is a true artist at his craft. And after 9 years of surching, not only did I find a surgeon who I trust completley (which I have not done/felt for 8 years), Dr. Kaloostian will tell you like it is... the facts, move forward and has a great deal of integrity. I believe he will come to be one of our Country's most Noted Neurologists. I am actually looking forward to my second surgery with him because he has inspired hope.. true hope for me and has saved my life.

I love Dr. K personality, he really got to know me, and then the problem. Which we need more doctors with those kind of manners. Yes I would recommend anyone that needs neurosurgery, Dr. Paul Kaloostian is your man. Thank you Dr. K because it feels so good to feel what you are touching and I have no problems and no pain. Since both surgeries are completed, my nerves are GREAT!!!!!

Is now a Dr at Johns Hopkins University. Six weeks ago he looks at x-ray from my neck and says wow your neck is in bad shape. You came to the right place I am gonna take care of you. Had another MRI done go back for him to spend a total of maybe 5 minutes because my wife asked questions or I would have been out the door faster. After having 2 surgeries on my back not by him. To tell me 6 weeks prior that this is where we go through your neck to fix it. And have me cocerned about how bad my neck is and talking about surgery. Then to tell me my neck looks fine. On my report it states a lot of things. And he contradicted hiself a few times. So you worry someone for weeks about how bad your neck is then tell them well now your neck looks fine makes no sense to me. So thats why I give the rating I gave for him. Don't tell someone one thing then have me back and then push me out the door.
