Dr. Paul Peter Vessa, MD

I've had several spine surgeries over past 4 decades. I've seen "the best," from ortho docs at Hospital for Special Surgery to Mt Sinai to Beth Israel. Dr Vessa is hands down the best doctor/surgeon I've seen. His is whip smart and is not "scalpel happy" (so many docs immediately suggest surgery for my case). He will try everything before resorting to surgery. His staff is professional and caring.

Dr Vessa was amazing. I wanted to start slow and try everything I could before surgery, and he was very accommodating. He warned me of all the pitfalls of the pain and didn't push a bunch of medicine on me. Once it came time for surgery (or any of the procedures he performed) I felt totally safe and taken care of. The office staff was great and wonderful to me as well. My surgery was 18 months ago now and I have never felt better. I was telling a new GP about my surgery, and she mentioned "you went to the best" so it inspired me to come online and write a review. I cannot say enough great things about the practice and Dr. Vessa!

Dr Vessa was very good with working with me when I wanted to take treatment slowly at the beginning. The staff in the office are also really sweet and accommodating.

Absolutely the best around! This was my 4th time with Spinal Injections over a 3 year period with Drs. Paul Vessa and James Dwyer and I can say positively, his/their knowledge, knowledge, their 'bed-side' manner and their concern for the patient is the best of the best! They take the time to explain to their patients what they are going to do, and they do it right the first time. I have recommended many of my friends who needed Spine Surgery to them and all the feedback has been they all have been very happy with the results.

Very helpfull and pleasent staff nurse and receptionist , great doctor sharp diagnosis regarding my sciatic nerve radiating pain through left leg. I just decided to start with Physical Therapy and stay away from the epidural injection for now. Noticeable improvement after time and 2 PT sessions. I strongly recommend him for a friend. Also could pay him another visit in 2-3 month to evaluate the healing process. Thank you Dr. Vessa

Dr Vessa is an absolutely brilliant doctor. He spent a lot of time researching my very difficult case and even presented it at a conference to his colleagues. I had lost faith in the medical profession and Dr. Vessa restored it. If dr Vessa can't ix you, no one can !!!
