I drove 90 minutes to see Dr Hamrah for my 6 month follow up. I waited 90 minutes during which vision testing was completed and then was told I’d be waiting another 60 minutes to see the doctor. Unsure why my time is not considered as valuable as his. The day was a waste of time as I had to leave without seeing the doctor. I will now have to decide if I’m willing to make another appointment with this doctor and trust him to take care of my medical needs. Very unprofessional and negative experience today.

There is a very good reason why new patients may wait for months to see Dr. Hamrah for the first time. This was my experience, and my visit was worth the wait. After two and one half years of eye pain and a lot of anxiety, it was Dr. Hamrah who started me on the protocol that restored my eye health. Extremely rude doctor who only knows to blame the patient for their condition, rather than try to establish proper treatment. He fails to consider alternate diagnoses even when his initial thoughts are clearly not the cause. He speaks condescendingly and with complete disregard for patient emotion.

This man saved my life. 23 specialists and 4 years after a major accident, I was still extremely light sensitive. Dr. Hamra finally figured out that I had cornea neuropathy. All other doctors were blaming it on psychological. Turns out when your corneas feel pain they have two places for the pain to go out your cornea or into your brain. Cirneal neuropathydisables your ability to process light like normal people do. I am a computer cloud engineer who had to stop looking at computers as my nerves were destroyed. The medicine he has me on made from a protein in my blood has enabled me to have 30% regrowth in the nerves in my eyes. I am hoping in two years I will be able to go back to work full time.not able to look at computers and light has completely changed my life unable to work unable to look at PCS unable to learn. Now for the first time I can look at computers for 3 hours at a time.. Thank you Dr. Hamrah for saving my life.

Without this man I would not be able to look at a computer again. Unable to look at blue light or regular light completely photosensitive he prescribed special medication, I called them stem cell eye drops made from my own blood. Took this medication 4 less than eight months and already can look at a computer again. Life-saving as I am a computer engineer.

Dr Hamrah is anoutstanding doctor both in competence and care. The way in which he is outstanding is his perception of the patient's entire persona and how the severe eye issues affect his/quality of life. Some doctors in ranking medical institutions cannot help but allow their research focus to dominate their thinking (and this is all to the good, and the patients would not want it any other way). Dr. Hamrah is outstanding in that he is not only highly competent but also the human instinct and empathy is very strong in him.

Dr Hamrah listened, looked and explained ! After having my mothers complaints of "eye pain" ignored or dismissed by reputable Opthamologists for > 10 years, she has finally been aknowledged and diagnosed with corneal neuropathy.
