Dr. Peter Gordon Larcom, MD

Prior to my knee replacement, I was looking for some feedback on Dr. Larcom and came across some pretty negative comments on his work and rapport with patients. This made me nervous, but I felt good about my decision and moved forward with my surgery. I had a knee with 31 years of scar tissue and it was quite a mess inside. I am happy to say that the surgery went great and I am so happy with the entire process. Everyone was so great, the PA's were amazing to work with. I recommend Dr. Larcom to anyone looking for knee surgeon.

I had previously broke my leg d i was complications from the metal in my leg. Melanie from Dr. Ferneys Office recommend this Dr. My leg has never felt normal plus the surgery scar is horrible! I Med tioned this to prior to the surgery he ensured me he would be very aware of this and not to worry. When I got home my leg was bleeding and I fainted in front of one of my best friends. I would like this Dr to pay $1500 to pay for making my leg scared. I have consulted a plastic surgeon to repair my leg. Be refuse! Also Melanie from Dr. Ferney office refered me to Dr. Patrick Olson's office for the cubical Tunnel Symdrome that happened when fell and hit my elbow on the tile in my home. I believe that this Dr. nor Melanie had my best interest in mind. I plan to sue this Dr. Beware of this Dr.

I broke two bones in my foot and after surgery my grandma asked if he numbed me so I wouldn't be in pain and he said no that it was too big of an area???? Then when I got my cast of I had pool of dried blood on my heel and they didn't wash it off or anything. And when I got it off at home there was a HUGE blood blister and when I asked him about it he asked me how I got it??? He was friendly, but just wouldn't be my first choice if anything ever happens again.

WE CHOSE THIS DOCTOR FOR A 2ND OPINION. HE SAID MY HUSBAND WAS FULL OF BOLOGNA. HE SET HIM UP FOR A TEST AND AS MY HUSBAND WENT TO HAVE THE TEST THE STAFF SAID THEY WERE NOW GOING TO INJECT HIM WITH CORTISONE WHICH THE DOCTOR NEVER TOLD US AND WE REFUSED. IF THEY HAD OF INJECTED IT THEN SURGERY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HAPPEN FOR 6 MONTHS. MY HUSBAND WENT TO ANOTHER DOCTOR AFTER THIS AND HE FOUND THAT MY HUSBAND WAS BLEEDING INTERNALLY FROM A SCREW THAT WAS PUT IN TOO FAR ON HIS HIP REPLACEMENT. HE LOST DEAD MUSCLE AROUND HIS HIP DUE TO THE HEMATOMA THAT HAD BUILT UP PRESSURE. BUT REMEMBER DR. LARCOM SAID MY HUSBAND'S PAIN WAS BOLOGNA!!!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. HE DIDN'T CARE ENOUGH TO DO A LITTLE RESEARCH. HE JUST WANTED TO INJECT HIM AND CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS. IF WE HAD OF WAITED 1 MORE WEEK THE SURGEON SAID HIS LEG WOULD OF HAD GANGRENE. HE DIDN'T LOOSE HIS LEG BUT HE WILL NEVER WALK THE SAME AGAIN. THESE DOCTORS NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL OR LEARN HOW TO SHOW A LITTLE… COMPASSION.

Dr. Larcom performed three surgeries on my leg, all of which failed. He refused to authorize a consult or referral, after I asked for this. He initially refused to sign my discharge papers so I could go to a different hospital and doctor. Nine months after I left his practice, he entered my room at a hospital and made sarcastic comments to me about the complications I was experiencing. His comments to me indicated that he and/or someone else had violated HIPA laws, as he should have had no information about my status at that point. I would not recommend Dr. Larcom to my worst enemy.

Dr. Larcom is the BEST! He is very professional. His funny, careing. I was in a head on collison with a drunk driver. Dr. Larcom was the Doctor on call 01/11/03 lucky me. My right ankle was shattered. Dr. Larcom did everything in his power he for 9 months trying to save my leg. The chances of saving my leg were less then 10%.On 09/24/03 We had lost the battle. I had also broke my right knee and right hip. Dr. Larcom is a good person and the best orthopedic doctor Utah has to offer. I am very grateful to have had him in my darkest hour. You could never go wrong with him. Thank you Dr. Larcom.

Dr. Larcom has a wonderful "bedside manner," his office staff is polite and understanding, and he did an excellent diagnosis and treatment of my knee. I am going to have surgery on it very soon, and I have a great deal of confidence that this surgery will make me much more comfortable and mobile.

Dr. LARCOM FIXED BOTH OF MY ROTATOR CUFFS ON BOTH SHOULDERS. He did a fantastic job on both! He acts like a real human being and has really great bedside manners.
