Dr. Peter Samuel Morey

Dr. Morey is an exceptionall Dr. he always took care of me very professionally and helped me get thru all my problems.People need to stop making up false comments about him, and beleive he is one of the best psychiatrist out there. Highly recommend him.

There did not seem to be any red flags during my two years of twice weekly sessions with Dr. Morey whom I always called Peter. However, he canceled our last three appointments by text with less than an hours notice, and did not even bother to cancel the last one, he just did not bother to show up. A few days later I received a letter with one months refills for my meds and a form letter that he would no longer be providing me with his services. Every time he canceled, by text, I would text back begging for some explanation and would receive no reply. Twice I asked if I should look for a new doctor, again I received no reply. I begged him to tell me if it was just me or all his patients he was dropping and please don't leave me to wonder as it was so cruel, again no reply. As I looked back I began to see that there were other strange behaviors from Dr. Morey over the two years. Such as telling me very very personal things about himself, his relationships, his childhood. Things that I… sometimes found embarrassing and would just try to laugh off. At the time I did not want to let myself believe that he was crossing any professional lines because I had become very dependent on him. The way in which Dr. Morey dumped me like I am garbage is perhaps one of the cruelest things that anyone has done to me in my adult life, the irony being that the person whom I needed the most during this devastating time was indeed the person who had caused me all the devastation. Thereby leaving me with no one to turn to. I do not think that Dr. Morey is in the correct specialty of medicine, actually speaking as one of his former patients, as a psychiatrist he could be a danger to his patients. I have ptsd diagnosed by Dr. Morey and now I an quite sure he has made my post traumatic stress disorder worse than before he treated me .Near the end of our time together Dr. Morey told me that he had received a death threat from a former patient. Since Dr. Morey was always at least 10 - 15 minutes late for our phone appointments this started to cause me great anxiety over his well being. His inability to keep his personal life out of our sessions actually had become a topic during some sessions as he himself was causing me more and more anxiety.
