Dr. Phillip Madsen Graehl, MD

This comment is not about Dr. Graehl. He was a very good surgeon. This is about his PA, Ann. I do not know her last name. My husband, Jimmie Edwards had a total knee replacement, and is currently doing his physical therapy. Yes it is painful, and he was working through it, but during one session something different happened, which he was brought to tears with pain. This pain is still there, causing his physical therapy sessions extremely painful. His blood pressure has increased to a high level. My husband has a high pain tolerance so when he cries and almost passes out I know he is hurting. He has been taking pain meds from a pain dr. prior to this surgery, due to both knees being ,bone on bone, a torn rotator cuff, hip pain. When he called to see if he could get some other kind of pain medication or have a higher dose, the PA, Ann was so unprofessional. She laughed, made implications, and showed no concern about him. Never asking any questions why his pain has increased. She ended… the call by saying “just go to your own pain dr. or another one”, because we are not doing anything else. This type of behavior makes Dr. Graehl look really bad, as if once he has finished the surgery, he no longer cares about his patient.

Dr. Graehl has operated on my mother, my grandmother, and myself. Great doctor.

Had hip replacement late 2011. My hip pain and limping never went away. Went to Dr Graehl for X-rays and exams every 2-3 months. Finally went to another hip surgeon a few months ago. After 5-10 minutes of evaluation, he said the implant had been loose for over a year. Dr Graehl never diagnosed the problem in that year. Second surgery recently done. Everything is fine. Thank goodness I asked someone else besides Dr Graehl about my pain. He let me down..

I've had a hip replacement and a knee replacement. My daughter has had orthoscopic surgery on both knees. Dr. Graehl did the surgery on both of us. He is a wonderful Dr., I would recomend him to everyone. His staff; Ann & Jennifer are great.

Initally had a catch in my shoulder. Since surgery, (4 years) constant shoulder pain, numbness in forearm.
