Dr. Phillip George St Louis, MD

I'm shocked to find his practice is open. Approx, 2 1/2 yrs ago he was retiring . His staff called All of his patients and asked for them to pick up their files. My sister-in-law had just had surgery. She was having problems and was having to find another Dr. My experience with him wasn't good at all . I don't appreciate being yelled at , for no reason. I won't go into detail about my 1 and only visit. But I do Not recommend him . Might be a great surgeon , but it also takes compassion. I was told he has an anger problem . From My visit , I believe it. Just use caution If you go to him. Might want to ask what happened to his retiring .

It was essential that prior to making an appointment, I provided them with as much medical information as possible concerning my pain and it's origin. As a medical professional, I certainly can appreciate that being a placed at a premium. So two weeks prior to my initial appointment, I hand delivered to their office all relative MRI's, CT Milograms, flex Xrays etc. along with relative reports that included Doctor dictations and opinions.. I had no indication that any of that information was reviewed in preparation of my initial appointment. It was as if I was starting from scratch. The P.A. that pre-interviewed me for an audience with the Doctor's Interpretive skills were inadequate at best. How she could have adequately conveyed my physical concerns to the Doctor is beyond me, as she consistently got wrong everything she made note of in our previous discussion .even after having been corrected more than once in the initial interview. Not on her best day can I imagine that she… could accurately aces my physical condition outside the scripted protocol she was taught to implement under those controlled circumstances and environment. I am convinced that it was his P.A.'s misrepresentation or flaud evaluation of my situation that seemed to have shaped his impression of me as a patient which gave him pause as to our relationship moving forward. Although I appreciate his honestly, I find it hard to overcome what he expressed as his personal feelings about his impression of me, I guess as a potential patient or perhaps as a person, he didn't specify. Nevertheless, He had a bad feeling about me and detected a series of red flags. Of course, this could only come from the garbled message given to him by his P.A. based upon her initial interpretation or lack there of. I came to him seeking his contribution to my spinal condition and nothing more. For every other thing that ales me I will just have to pray for in the form of a miracle. The fact that I will still have aches and pains elsewhere dispite his successful surgery should not be a factor in his decision to do his job moving forward. Nevertheless , it appears to be. Which of course compells me to join him in the sharing of those bad feelings, which as a result are now mutual How unfortunate, as I do admire him and the work he does. I continue to be a fan of his work.

I saw this surgeon one time. The first time I went into his office it was his assistant, the second time I saw him. I had surgery in May for a fusion and came out with no voice which I had to go to therapy and its not well yet. I have a frozen shoulder and going to therapy for that too. And oh, by the way when I went in for post op, they didn't mention that one of the screws they put in to hold the titanium piece didn't even go in straight. I don't and wouldn't advice anyone to go back to him.

I first met Dr. St. Louis at Florida Hospital in the fall of 2002. I had a massive seizure and had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. I was so scared. He met me and my husband on a SATURDAY at the hospital. He was very thorough and eased my anxiety a great deal. It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about and that he knew what he was doing. I had to have a second surgery 10 years later and Dr. St. Louis was my surgeon again. I really feel like this man has saved my life (twice!).

Would not recommend this place to anyone. They never follow up with you regarding making appointments. Also they are not very concerned about their patients, Im having horrible headaches and I have a cyst in my brian. They are offering an appt 1 month out? really? Thats ridiculous

Did not see Dr before or after surgery.Very short office visits.

I feel like without Dr St Louis I would have never been diagnosed properly. His diagnosis of NPH resulted in me having brain shunt surgery that completely cleared up all my symptoms. I have renewed enthusiasm, energy and feel as if I was 15 years younger than my 81 years.

In this office is imposible to get somebody in the phone. Always is a answer machinw No human voice.

Doc and staff were kind. Reviewed all the info with me. Patient with all my questions. Gave me a referral that I appreciated to continue with my mother's care.

Excellent at explaining rather complex condition and procedure, and takes the time required to be sure everything is understood. Excellent follow-up post-surgery.
