Dr. Pratik Jagdish Gandhi, MD

I consulted with Gandhi concerning my constant pain. We spoke briefly, ultimately agreeing on the trial The Boston Scientific spinal cord stimulator. I explained clearly to him that I need large doses of medication as I have anesthesia awareness and I burn through medication; he said I will keep you comfortable. This turned out to be a lye and I was awake and felt every inch of the 27-gauge 1.25 inch needle and the 14 gauge Tuohy needle being pushed up towards the interlaminar space. At this time I told him to stop; that the pain was unbearable. He then instructed the Nurse to inject another bottle of Versed and Fentanyl. I did not receive any relief but Gandhi continued the procudure. I then at this point was crying and yelled, STOP NOW! He ignored my request and continued giving more meds. I went through a total of 7-8 bottled of meds but still felt every inch of the procedure.I begged Gandhi to give me something stronger ; his reply "I can't, your insurance won't pay for it."… What! I have two insuranceses PPO/ Medicare. At this point I was rolled over on my back and that's when the screaming started!!! Torture pure torture. Every Nurse and tech came and filled the room, wondering what was going on; watching as Gandhi denied me pain relief.So they can testify to this review of Gandhi; also as well as the Boston Tech. He said he was so sorry for me and it usually goes well. The worst part of all this is the lack of concern for me, no empathy at all! When I read his report of lies I was furious, esp. when he said "The procedure was complete and well tolerated! What! Then his last comment was "The patient was discharged in stable condition; which is further from the truth. I begged for pain relief and was told "take tylenol..." This person should not be able to work on another living person. He is a lyer and the most unempathetic person in the medical field; I have never had to come into contact with. Be aware everyone if someone refers you to him... His rating is less than poor! My suggestion for Gandi, go back to Washington, if they will have you.
