Dr. Priya Choyan Palliyil, MD

Dr Palliyil (Dr P) of Elite Medical Care, is one of the best doctors I've ever met!!! You don't get to meet one like her very often. Both my parents go to Dr. P. She's awesome, even with geriatric special needs like dementia and skin issues of the elderly. She greets us each time we come with a genuinely welcoming smile, and knows my parents' medical history just like we are her family. DR. P always takes time to explain anything we need to know and answers questions with concern and great thought. We never feel rushed because she listens carefully and then works with us to help us decide the best customized course of care for each of my parents. I'm so grateful another family with elderly parents told me about her when my parents moved to Georgia 4 years ago.  Dr. P is highly knowledgeable in every area of primary care - and she helps explain things to my parents with great respect that my father (92) is a retired physician and my mom (82) is a retired nurse. Once at a… restaurant out for dinner, my mom started shaking then fainted and then woke up, threw up and had bowel issues. I called 911 and had an abundance rush us to the emergency room. That evening, Dr. P found out my mom was in the ER and she talked with the ER doctor and she figured out that my mother had a reaction to a sudden onset case of the stomach flu that attacked her vagus nerve! How did she know?  Dr. P had other patients who also had the stomach flu from the same Senior Living Community and it was highly contagious in schools and residential communities. Dr. P saved us from having to stay overnight in the ER with her excellent and quick diagnosis. She has a great network of doctors we have used for other issues.  We could not be happier.  I only wish my daughter and I could go to Dr. P as well, but my Kaiser HMO plan doesn't let me go outside the Kaiser network.  You will feel like you have gone back in time with the traditional old fashioned individualized attention and personal care you get from Dr P! She has even called me personally on the phone when I had an urgent question. We never wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room because her office plans enough time for every patient.  Usually we only wait 1 minute when we arrive, and then my parents go right in to get started and we have a medical appointment with the 3 of us because my parents prefer it that way.  Once on a cold winter day Dr. P noticed my mom keep her coat on and she went to turn on a small heater that she keeps in the exam room especially for the comfort of her patients. But with the old fashioned care she gives you, you ALSO have the most awesome high tech resources Dr. P's office. I use her easy to access portal from my smart phone to communicate to her directly, see lab results, upload documents etc. and Dr. P is the most responsive doctor I've ever had. She even emailed me back regarding a prescription for my father needed refilled while she was traveling to see her family on vacation. Dr. P always takes excellent notes and she refers to her computer files to compare past lab results of my parents from multiple doctors and many tests. Dr. P has helped us diagnose unusual issues because she is brilliant, has an excellent memory and logically puts 2+2+2 together to get 6, so we can get my parents healthy again, much faster. We are so lucky Dr. P's office is only 5 min away from my parents' Senior Living community. But I would drive an hour to give my parents her kind of care if I had to. Dr. P is excellent in every aspect, and we are so thankful to have her as our doctor.

She was nice enough and did what was absolutely necessary, but she referred me to 3 different specialists without taking a minute to evaulate my symptoms herself before doing so. I want my primary care doctor to be the first line of defense for my health, and I do not feel like this is the case.

I have had many doctors in my 49 years. Dr. P is by far, my favorite. She cares! She has an awesome bedside manner! She is extremely knowledgeable, and will absolutely has a sense of humor. I recommend her for anyone looking for an excellent doctor!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Palliyl for several years in Douglasville. she recently moved her practice to Roswell nearer to her home. We MAKE the time to drive over an hour to see her because her care is unparalleled! She spends time with patients, and is thorough. We wouldn't go anywhere else. I would recommend Dr. Palliyl to anyone who needed a good family doctor!

I have been to Dr. Palliyil's office more than 5 times. I have been able to see her every time in less than 15 minutes. She explains things well, and is never rushed. She always returns call by the end of the day if I have any questions. The staff is very helpful too. I have recommended Dr. Palliyil to my family and friends.

spent most of the time in the doctors office waiting while she typed in info, didn't really do much for problem, mostly concerned with inputing info. Never returned call, sent me another patients medical records, never found mine. Overall a terrible experience, the worst I have ever had.
