Dr. Qin Gu, MD

My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and dementia 5 years ago. We switched to this practice after we moved, and our first visit with Dr. Gu was DISASTROUS. He literally spent two minutes in the exam room with us and didn’t listen to a single thing we had to say. We found him to be extremely rude, abrupt and completely uncaring. He immediately rejected the previous diagnosis of Parkinson’s and recommended further testing rather than treating the ongoing Parkinson’s. In addition, when we asked questions about certain symptoms, he cut us off and proceeded to dismiss our concerns. When we tried again to ask our question, he stuck his finger in my face and said, “I will tell you ONE MORE TIME...” We called the office to voice our concerns, and they advised us that we were discharged from the practice. Needless to say, we recommend you avoid this place like the plague.

had no idea what I was there for. Appointment was for post in patient stroke visit never looked at my hospital records spent 3 minutes at best with me. Got outrageous bill for new patient but received no diagnosis only asked to be seen again in 3 months so he could review my records. NO CHANCE I WILL BE BACK. DO NOT GO TO THE M.I.N.D. Institute

I’ve been going to this doctor for years but the newest staff memeber is extremely rude. Never smiles, acts as if patients are a bother. I will continue to come here but being rude isn’t appropriate, EVER.

Shows no care for his patients. He diagnosed my father with an ischemic stroke while he was at the hospital but then only showed up once at hospital. Took no initiative to give our family a prognosis, to talk about what kind of care to give him. While my father was at rehab center, he never once called to see how he was - for one whole month - despite the fact that he was supposed to see him a month after that. Sorry to say that there are these kinds of doctors in Florida. Showed no empathy or initiative.

Cancels appointments often. Cancelled my past 3 appointments, the last two were same day cancellations.

I found Dr. Gu to be the only Dr. I have seen that will listen to me and take time to look at my records to find a solution. He seems very easy going and has a nice personality as well as compassion for his patient which a lot of Dr.'s now days do not. He gives me hope to health :) Checkout Lady however got very short tempered and rude with me for no reason kinda like she had no time to be pleasant and I'm a better person then you so hurry the heck up attitude which I know if that was me treating ill people the way she did I would not be able to sleep at night without feeling like a horrible person so unprofessional and un welcoming.

This dr. Talked to me for five minutes and ask me To try a new medicine of which he had samples. I tried something like this once and never again. This guy is not very competent to say the least!

didn't like much. Nurse was ok, staff was not conforming to needs of patient. Dr. became very rude in explaining my condition. Making me feel uncomfortable to even ask a question or two. I work full time and need someone much more attentive to my current issue. There was no concern or help for my work concerns. Seemed like we were taking up too much of his time after waiting 1 hour past our appointment time to take a simple nerve test that took 10 minutes. No bedside manner, No manner at all
