Dr. Quendria Johnson Kerns

Quendria Johnson-Kerns is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience. She has had experience working with individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Quendria is most passionate about helping individuals address and overcome common life struggles such as depression, anxiety, and relationship issues (including marriage, family, and parenting). As a part of these processes, Quendria believes that examining the effects life's experiences have had on our current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors goes a long way in helping us to understand how to make needed improvements Quendria completed her Master's degree in Counseling from Augusta State University. Quendria became a military spouse and continued to work as a counselor supporting military families. She had to opportunity to learn a great deal more about what makes this population so unique and special. Quendria utilizes several research-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), …mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clients resolve any internal conflict resulting from adversities and learn how to grow from life's experiences. Quendria asserts and believes that we are all more alike than we know. Her belief is that we often forget that we are all human, trying to make sense of the life and world we live in.
