Dr. Rachel Wakatsuki, MD

Dr. Wakatsuki is fantastic. She's kind, empathetic, and isn't afraid to suggest a specialist if something is outside of her expertise. She explains what she's doing, why she's doing it, and what any diagnosis means. She is thorough, personable, and very non-judgemental. She truly cares about her patients' well-being, including both health and happiness. She is absolutely one of the two best doctors I've ever had. Unfortunately, while she is amazing, the call center used by NoVA patient care is beyond trash. If you need anything other than an appointment, your best bet is to go to the office in person. I've had better luck getting a straight answer and actual work out of a 7-year-old with ADHD. Please don't hold their incompetence against Dr. Wakatsuki.
