Dr. Richard Dean Card II, DO

I am very happy to have Dr. Card and the other NPs as my Drs. They are very nice, and have helped me and my brother, William Arthur Rice. If something is wrong I can come in for walking. I have never had that before with a Dr.

He is very passive aggressive, and he is a medical professional gaslighter. He is extremely rude, and if you try to tell him you think something else is going on, he dismisses you. Also, be warned, he will not admit when he is wrong or has misdiagnosed something. He would rather not bruise his ego.

I started seeing Dr. Card in 2018 after my previous doctor left private practice. I liked that he listened and did not simply dictate. Recently my opinion changed. When I went for my annual wellness check his medical assistant seemed to not be vaccinated against covid. I asked if he was vaccinated against covid and he responded that he didn't need to answer that. I told him that because of fear of breakthrough infection among seniors I only wanted to be examined by someone fully vaccinated. He opened the door and motioned for me to leave. He quickly sent me a letter that due to a break in doctor-patient relationship I was no longer his patient.

Tried to establish as a new patient. Gave a list of medicine I was on and the diseases or maladies I had to his what I am assuming was his receptionist and was told I would get a call back. I received a call back the next day and was told he COULD NOT accept me as a new patient. when I asked why that was I was told and I quote "he doesn't tell us why, He just tells us yes or no. So, that leaves me with the impression that he would have to work too hard in my case and doesn't want to do so. So , that leaves me with the opinion that I wouldn't take one of my dogs to see him. It is MY opinion that if you are of ill health HE doesn't want to waste his VALUABLE time in treating you. It is MY recommendation to seek healthcare ANYWHERE but with him.

when you tell the truth about something he doesn't believe you. no trust there between doctor and patient. Also he didn't have the expertise that i needed for my health.
