I received excellent guidance prior to my procedure, particular as it relates to having both knees done, and his advice was 100% spot on. He was patient with a number of questions, and clearly extremely knowledgeable and confident in his counsel.

I was put on an excellent pre surgery exercise program which resulted in me needing less PT post surgery. Dr Iorio & his team members are knowledgeable and got back to me quickly with a couple of post op questions I had. So nice to be rid of the hip pain I had experienced.

Terribly rude and incompassionate. Thankfully I do not need a hip replacement. Even if he was the most qualified physician I would not let him touch me. His bedside manner and attitude were totally unacceptable.

I developed bad knee pain in both knees within week of each other. Dr. Iorio was right that physical therapy wouldn't help the problem. When I asked if both knees could be replaced (partial replacement) at the same time he said no problem. I am so glad that both replacements were done at the same time. I only had to endure 1 rehab for both knees and I can walk again without pain. It's been 3 months since my surgery and I realize that I have a few more months of recovery but things get better every day.

After several consults to find an orthopedic surgeon in Boston, I am so happy I chose Dr. Iorio. While I was interviewing him, he was patient, answered my questions, explained procedures, and gave me a complete manual as to what to expect - 24 pages. And, that was before I became a patient of his! Before, during and after, Dr. Iorio and his team were present with my care. The FORCE app gave me weekly information and exercises to perform -- this app carried through for three months after my surgery. His team always promptly answered any of my questions. After my surgery, someone from his team would call me to see how I was doing, what to expect and what to look for. At one time, a call lasted almost an hour. I felt like I was chatting with a friend. Hi team made me feel like I was the only patient they had. No matter how many knee replacements Dr Iorio has done, he made me feel like mine was the most important. His calm demeanor before surgery helped calm my fears and my care at… Faulkner Hospital was fabulous. IF I need to have my other knee done, I know exactly where I am going. There are not enough words in this world, in the dictionary to describe Dr Richard Iorio. He is both caring, knowledgeable, procedural, ultra-responsive, highly intelligent, great personality, authoritative, concerning and about 1000 other words that I can use to positively describe him. If I had a 3rd hip, I would only let Dr Richard Iorio operate on me because his ability install confidence in his patients and a sense of calm in his patients is amazing. He has changed my life dramatically and I fully thank him for working with me over the past 5 years. He deserves every single accolade he receives. Definitely one of the finest doctors there is.

Gave excellent care to my daughter for both hips replacements, great followup and now my daughter is pain free and ten times more mobile. It wasn't easy, but he worked with her (she's 45) and my family highly recommends Dr. Iorio
