Very experienced. Helped me get off pain meds after another Dr got me on Bad pain meds. Understands difficult situations. Good listener.

My Aunt suffered from having 3 strokes. I begged her to see a different neurologist as I had worked with this Dr before. He had her check her blood pressure once a week (?!?!?!) and if it was higher then the number's he pulled out of a hat, she was to take a calcium channel blocker (blood pressure meds). Your blood pressure can change every 5 minutes!!!! She eventually suffered her final stroke which caused her brain to be pushed to the right side by 2" (inches). She was gone, yet he continued to tell her family that she had pulled through the other strokes and she would this one too. I finally had to go to a different MD on her case and voice my complaints and concerns. She called a family meeting and assured her family that she was, in fact, brain dead. They finally took her off life support and she passed 10 mins later. Yes, I am a healthcare provider who has worked critical care for years. Please, if you love your family member, find a good neurologist. Ask your friends, do your… research. I've never thrown a Dr under the bus, but the thoughts of

He prescribed me medication and would not call the insurance for approval the pharmacy told me all it would take was a phone call and he refused. I paid cash and it was not a good fit for me. After informing him the medication he prescribed was not working well he went to write another script. I told him I couldn't afford it. He said fine I'll see you in three months. I mentioned that I wasn't there for medication I was there for eeg results. He was very rude and short with me. He doesn't like answering any questions regarding my concerns. He scheduled what he called a sleep study test which his staff told me was really another eeg. I asked for the full name of his assistant who does the test and the staff told me no that she would not give me last names. She said hippa protects them. I had to explain hippa was for patients rights and that I have every right to know who is doing a procedure on me. I'm very disturbed that he sees people with ALS or MS and that he seems to… have no interest in helping others it appears he simply is interested in $ and pushing pills. I personally don't feel he should be in business

Dr. Sauer is extremely knowledgeable and adjusted my heavy medication and got me on a lower dose medication and changed some meds to improve my health.

I would never go to or let any one I know go to see this horrible man. I went to see him for a nerve study on my arms. He greeted me with I can fix your facial pain, you will be pain free in a couple Botox treatments . I have be in pain for years the left side of my face is like a brain freeze all the time. After the first shots , my face swelled up, horrible headache , walked into walls, couldn't function I hurt so bad. When I called to see what could be done. Had to go in, then he told me it could not be the shots no one was allergic to Botox and he would not do any thing for me. He even had the nerve to say I had to come for the next shots. It's been a year and my head still swells below where the shots were put. I hate this man who calls himself a doctor.

The worst doctor i have ever had, he is very rude, doesn't seem to care about his patients in any way. I drive an hour for a 2 minute office visit, and he wont listen to anything i say or problems ive had, my seizures are no better, if not worse, in the 3 years ive been "seeing" him. Office staff is just as unfriendly as he is. They all seem to hate their jobs. DO NOT bother with this doctor, absolute waste of time.

Dr Sauer refused to listen to anything I said, he was condescending and bellitling. After my tests were completed he sat myself and husband down and told me they were all fine. Upon getting copies of the tests we saw that all had come back abnormal.9 Months later and only due to desperation I returned to Sauer and showed him my same tests, he reorderd new tests because he admitted they were all abnormal. My new tests were once again abnormal and still he is not listening and making me run circles instead of doing further tests to see why I have severe nerve damage. Many other doctors nicknamed him sauer "D" due to his arrogance and god syndrome. SSI has denied me because he told them my tests had come back normal. You are wasting your time if you go to him. Find someone else, he has to be the worst doctor I have ever been to. I needed help not more pain. He also refuses to prescribe pain killers no matter what the situation. I don't need them but many in his office were complaining.

I feel abused.
