I went to him with an excruciating shoulder pain. After my explanation, he just shrugged his shoulders as he commented "If you want, I can prescribe you something or just take some ibuprofen or Tylenol. There was no comment from him... only one word answers to my questions. Richard Springstead was obviously bothered. I had never met him before and wondered if he was like that with the other patients as well. As he walked out, I wasn't sure if the consultation was over or not. It was. When I was younger, I was a patient of his orthodontist brother. He was fantastic and I mistakenly assumed Richard Springstead was the same.

This guy is awful, I had major back problems. I had a previous lower back surgery. I kept throwing out my back doing the simplest things. He would say what can I do you for. I would explain to him what was going on he would do next to nothing well you have to rest... one time he gave me a shot. Pain management doctor order an MRI. He (Springstead) said it looked good..I settled work comp case. I went to Mayo Clinic had surgery three days later. I WOULDN'T LET HIM TREAT MY DOG!!!

Excellent Physician, Prudent and compassionate. Staff is exemplary and concerned and compassionate.

I took my 3 year old son to this doctor to have the bone in his arm set after he fractured his arm. The doctor gave him such a minimal amount of lidocaine that my son screamed hysterically as he set the bone. My son is autistic an has an extremely high pain tolerance, so high that he didn't even cry when he fracture his arm. Then after the procedure he recomended giving him NO pain medicine!!!!!! Beyond that, the bones in his arm are not even lined up right!!!
