Dr. Rina Caprarella, MD

Have taken my father to Dr Caprarella multiple times over the years. She is consistently caring, explaining things clearly and patiently. She is not afraid to think “outside the box” for diagnosis and the best treatment approach. Her clinical knowledge is solid, she is thorough, and she definitely cares about her patients. Would highly recommend her, and have to many.

I recommend Dr. Caparella with the utmost confidence. After taking my father to nearly a dozen other neurologists and neurosurgeons, Dr. Caparella took the time to ask the right questions, perform a thorough neurological exam and order the correct tests in order to make the diagnosis. Her treatment plan has put him back on track. I only wish we had come to her sooner.

I first went to Dr. Caprarella in 2019 as I was seeking a diagnosis for my inability to sit up or stand up. I was scheduled for 2 EMG tests and was terrified by things I had been told about how painful the test was. I needed my son to help my into the office, and onto the exam table. Dr. Caprarella explained the test is different for each patient but said it should not be painful. She explained each aspect of the test before she did anything. Her bedside manner was comforting and relaxing. She assisted me to turn and move as the testing progressed. It was uncomfortable but never painful. I had to come back the next day for additional testing and her staff assured me that they would be able to assist me, and they did. I was so grateful that they paid attention and knew how to help me. Dr. Caprarella was equally patient and helpful during the second set of tests. I went home knowing I had been well cared for. This week I was sent back for another EMG. When Dr. Caprarella came in she had… read my chart and could recall everything about my history. I explained my current condition and that I was scared that being healthier the test might hurt this time. With calm and caring she explained the process and what I might feel. Just as before, there was some discomfort but never any pain. I asked some questions about why she had tested some parts of my legs but not others and she explained the purpose of each area tested. I felt she listened, cared and respected me. And just as she has offered help up 2 years ago, she offered help again, if I needed it and waited to see me get up on my own. I would recommend her to everyone.

I have had a problem with my hands and elbows for many years and after numerous neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedists and even a surgery, it is a shame I didn't have the opportunity to meet Dr. Caparella sooner. She is not only professional and compassionate, but she is highly knowledgeable and eager to provide a medical answer to your symptoms and complaints through careful medical treatment and care. On my first visit, after my having described my issues and symptoms, her words to me were "you need an answer to your problems you have been dealing with for so long" Then and there I knew I was in the right caring hands. She not only follows-up with diagnostic testing and follow-up appointments, she figures out a personal plan of care. In addition, and astoundingly, she also performs her own sonograms and EEG's. Most other doctors would never do that for two reasons: one, they don't know how to and two, they don't care enough or, in all due respect, they don't mind putting your… care in the hands of another. This simply shows that Dr. Caparella is down to earth and hands-on with her patients - eager to find the source of the problem and resolution. Anyone who would write these terrible reviews must have either asked for medication that they do not need (referring to the FDA review) or must have been having a bad day themselves. Anyone would be blessed and fortunate to be under her care and I am sure those that are, are grateful. Its a shame how people could try to destroy a person that could do so much good for others needing health care. Dr. Caparella found a remedy for my health issues which I have been waiting over 8 years to find with other doctors. Dr. Caparella is not an ordinary doctor, she goes above and beyond what the norm is for patient care. I am never rushed in my visits, she explains everything clearly and I always leave confident that I am in good hands. If her staff is not to your liking, as per some reviews, then I am hoping that you complain directly to her so that she can at least be given the opportunity to remedy it as most of the time, and sadly, people thrive on writing up negative reviews. I highly recommend this Doctor, by comparison-as I have seen many doctors for over 8 years but to no avail. She is a life-saver, and has demonstrated to be nothing but professional, empathetic and most importantly extremely knowledgeable. I strongly urge those of you who rely on reviews, to rely on mine as we should all be so lucky to get the care and treatment we deserve from a fine Doctor such as she.

I saw Dr. Caprarella twice so far. The staff is efficient, helpful and polite. Dr. Caprarella is so caring, patient and informative. She is very personal, takes her time and explains everything on a patient level. I must be honest. I first booked my appt. based on her education and the positive feedback I received from my sister who handles malpractice suits for an attorney. My sister saw no red flags so I decided to give her a try. After my appt. was set I read some reviews. Some, not so good, some outstanding. But the 1st visit proved the negativity totally inaccurate. Next was my 2nd visit for an EMG. Again read some reviews. One scared me and almost made me cancel. I went ahead with the test with great anxiety and apprehension. From the very fist momemnt I met Dr. Caprarella she assured me she would be the one to perform the test and would talk me through each part. She was honest and prepared me for each segment. She said if I did not tolerate the test we will… try something else. The last part of the test was a LITTLE more uncomfortble and I asked her why she didn't do that first and then tell me each one would be easier. Her response was, better you be prepared and we gradually work up to the more uncomfortable part. I won't lie. It had some uncomfortable moments but I think the flu shot and blood work are more uncomfortable. I am writing to hope to put at least one patient's mind at ease. I worked myself up based on a few INACCURATE comments. Give Dr. Caprarella a try. She is smart, kind, caring and knowledgeable. My experience with Dr. Caprarella was a positive one from start to finish. She was very thorough and informative. I am very impressed with her attention to detail, not only with her patient care but with her office. Her staff was as pleasant as the surroundings. The office is very welcoming with a pleasant atmosphere that puts you at ease. This is especially important when the procedures we have to go through aren’t. What a labor of love!! I recommend every doctor to take notes from this outstanding doctor!!

Dr Caprarella is incredibly thorough with her exam, listening to your concerns and together you work out a game plan for your care that works best for you. She has worked very hard to make the quality of life for me to be as rich as possible! She is great! I would totally recommend her to everyone.
