Dr. Rita Rani Kumar, MD

First i had to wait over an hour and was 15 min early for my appointment then when the doctor came in i could not understand anything she said and it seemed like she did not hear anything i said she start talking about things that i was not even there to check on and do not discuss any of illness with me i had to talk to the nurse after to find out why she was requesting all kind of test. just the worst visit ever and i paid $25 for it now i have to find another doctor just for a 2nd opinion just dont go to this doctor

I went to this doctor when I lived in LA some years back. First of all, I was made to wait inside the waiting room for over 45 minutes every time (and over an hour many times). During a couple of times I heard the Doctor chit chat on the phone (clearly friend/family). I think this is unfair to the patient waiting - we all take time off work and come to the appointment. Second, she really gives a lot of her "personal" advice and thoughts - like "oh you are fine", "you are just stressed out" while I was in fact not. Eventually after doing a battery of unrelated tests, she sent me home with a ridiculous painkiller dosage (which I obviously did not take). Eventually I got an appointment at a better hospital and got treated for my problem in a professional manner in lesser time than I spent at her office.

I waited in the waiting area for over an hour. finally they called me in and put me in a room where i waited another 15 to 20 minutes. Nobody came to check on me. When Dr. Rita Kumar came in to see me, our visit was no longer then 5 minutes. She seemed to rush me out and did not apologize for the long wait. I will never ever go here again and would not recommend to anyone.

Wait over an hour and a half past my wait time. She left the door open while she was examining me. I was assigned to her after my last wonderful doctor was nixed from my HMO network, and Dr. Rita Kumar just dismissed anything she said. Then instead of doing any work herself, she just referred 3 different specialist (so extra time and money for me). She lets her personal beliefs get in the way of proper care. I don't know why she was so late when she spent all of 5 minutes with me. Even the staff told me I should get a different doctor. She had that air of superiority that only the worst doctors have.

I went in to see Dr. Kumar. I was feeling really sick but it was probably because I was on my second round of antibiotics and it was too much for me. Dr. kumar asked some questions and was more concerned about the answers to other conditions I have so she ran many, many blood tests and told me she'd call me in three days. That never happened. I went to the office to drop off some lab work results I had recently had done so she could compare. I told them she never called from about two weeks prior when I was in. They left a note for her to call me and I gave my number again, etc. She still has never called and it's been more than two months! I just wanted to look up reviews from others to see if this was just a one time thing and I fell through the cracks - apparently not!

Big no. My wife had some serious issue about dizziness. This doctor suggested some blood work. But it was more than week, no one really got back to her or prescribed any medicine. I had to call 4 to 5 times to get the blood test report. Ridiculous.

I find her to short tempered and overbearing at times.
