Dr. Robert Burns, MD

Dr. Burns is amazing! He practices traditional medicine with a healthy dose of common sense. He communicates very well, gives you a print-out of all necessary instructions before you leave, and his staff is very accommodating and sincere. He has 3 sweet dogs in his office who greet you.

Both of my parents saw this man for a very long time and both of my parents ended up diagnosed by Dr. Burns with Alzheimer's and dementia. At one time my mother was on 12 different meds - many that she did not even need. He was giving her Remeron and mirtazapine which caused all kinds of other issues including memory loss, confusion, hallucinations, incontinence, constipation, dizziness, and other awful side effects. The two meds should never be given to a person. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone.

My husband and I are new patients of Dr. Burns! After only one visit we are as comfortable with him, as if we had known him for a lifetime!

No urgency whatsoever about attending to patient needs. Maybe the doctor is good but the staff is the barrier. A shame this is the best they can do.

I've been coming to this office for awhile and it seems things there just continue to go down hill,there is a bit of a wait to get a appointment,then you have to stay there hours and hours to get seen,they pack to many people in to see,it takes them forever to schedule you for test,some of the staff don't know what there doing,act like they don't know how to use a computer,can't draw blood or give shots correctly,tell you they don't know about everything, the turn over with staff is horrible,I hear he is not a very nice person to work for and treats his staff bad,I see why there is always new people,he brings his three large dogs to his office but I don't like that they walk around freely all over you and look and smell like they don't get baths at all,but he says he rescue dogs,I think he needs to leave the rescuing to someone who really cares about animals but you just have to deal with this if you wont to be a patient there,the office is dirty,pet hair,urine & feces stains all over… the carpet,the exam room floors are nasty,furniture dirty,and the dogs even get on the exam tables and patients have to sit on this,I also don't like charts,paper work with your name on it is all over the place,your medical records for anybody walking around to read,I thought there where laws about patient privacy and I see why they always lose your paper work.I hate every time I have to go there,thinking about just sticking with my primary care doctor...

maney un-needed medication, long wait time, bad staff

Very good doctor,takes time with each patient,staff nice,staff great on returning your call,refills,results,some staff not properly trained or some with no medical exp. at all providing patient care,the doctor brings his dogs (3 Big ones)to the office everyday and they walk around freely,the social worker and payroll mgt. bring there 2-3 dogs too,patients paper work and file lies around freely for any ones eyes to see,seem like there aren't any rules or structure there,I think if the doctor cared more about his patients and staff than those dogs his practice would expand greatly.
