Dr. Cohen was referred to me by a wonderful Psychiatrist who's career took him to new opportunities. Dr C is a little stand-offish until you get to know him. After the first visit or so, as you and he begin to relate to one another, he is very humorous but extremely thorough in his attention to detail. His favorite line is, "Tell me more about that, please". Dr. C has listened to my take on the meds he prescribes, how effective they are and any side-effects I've encountered. Diminished labido is often a side-effect of psychotropics, and Dr. C has been particularly cooperative in mitigating this by altering dosage and providing advise as to timing of the meds taken at home. Dr. C has a couple of 1's on the score board. As you read those, keep in mind what his speciality is. (If you get my drift.)

Wonderful compassionate caring Dr.

The doctor came highly recommended. My husband suffers from dementia, he is currently experiencing behavior totally uncharacteristic of his "Normal" behavior, he is violent, swears all the time, doesn't trust anyone anymore, recently went out and bought a brand new Harley motorcycle that he can't ride due to a stroke, and spends $120/week at 7-11 on junk. Yet I am told by his front line desk that they must ask my husband if he wants treatment, of course he will say no, he doesn't trust his caregiver at this stage. All I want is to make the best of a bad situation. I was told if he hits call 911 and have him Baker Acted, my goal was to avoid this for him. Never did get in to see the doctor. I cried all day, now out to find someone who cares about their patients. Was a total disappointing experience. Beware future patients, my husband has doubled his fist to hit a six year old, imagine me calling 911 after he hits a six year old with his fist; yet I can't get him help. He once… was the most gentle men you would ever know.

On all the three issues listed in the title "dr" Cohen gets a big 0 (ZERO) from me. He does not relate to patients, and does not care about their complaints. He branded me "bipolar" (probably because he had the files from my previous doctor) but he did not bother to check, just took it as a matter of fact. I personally reject that diagnosis and told him so. No answer. The session was pretty much a one sided Q&A, followed by a prescription. The second session I complained about the side effects of his prescription. As a result, he doubled the dose (???). I actually tried to follow his directions for several days. All I got from it was a zombie-like state. I stopped the medication completely, and started to function on some level. For everyone out there, beware of psychiatrists that don't listen to you and think it is they that are always right. This is "Dr" Cohen for you.

When another MD suddenly closed his practice, Dr. Cohen was the person suggested. He added me and has provided guidance in both crisis situations as well as coping with daily anxiety/depression. Dr. Cohen has many patients so the best times may not be available right away. The staff is courteous and efficient. Excellent location behind old PB fire station, just south of PB Road. Highly recommend,

Dr. Cohen is very caring... very compassionate. He is insightful and a problem solver. He listens well and gives appropriate advice. He has ALWAYS phoned me back when I call him.

Dr. Cohen literally goes through the motions, gives you as little time as possible, and it is clear he is only concerned about the money

Dr. Cohen is the best psychiatrist I have known, and I have had treatment since 1972 -- he has diagnosed correctly and he is a caring, competent, and intelligent doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking care, espcially, if like me, you have wasted years by not having had the correct diagnosis, medication, and therapy. He literally saved my life.

Dr Cohen took ample time to acquaint himself with my background - - there was a lot, as I am 70 years old - - and to listen to me and help me with my questions and my current situation.
