Why did he close down or retire without telling anyone trying to get medical records no forwarding phone number to reach him

My former doctor retired. Following a bad experience trying to book a town over, I walked into Dr. Cooper's practice today and they were very accommodating; seeing me immediately and giving me the time, attention and support that I hoped to receive from a family doctor. Dr. Cooper's staff is friendly and supportive. I am glad that I found this practice.

My wife and I have been a patients of Dr. Cooper's for approx 25 yrs. - When you visit Dr. Cooper you're receiving his almost 40 years of experience and his educational background from Temple University, BU and Johns Hopkins Hospital, etc. - He's a fantastic doctor, always concerned and caring. He has a beautiful office and his staff has always been very nice to speak with in person and over the phone. The ability to walk in without appointments is a great convenience.

If I could give zero stars to this man I would! Went to see him years ago on the recommendation of a friend. Had three or four visits. One time I waited in the room for over 45 min. listening to him through the wall chit chatting with a friend. My appt. was at 2 and he finally graced me with his presence at 3:30. As my primary care I told him on several occasions that I was not sleeping well. He concurred with the previous doctor that a relaxation pill would do best. Lorazepam? It did nothing for me and I just stopped taking it. I told him I thought that I had Sleep Apnea on several occasions. My husband had said that he thought I stopped breathing in the night and sometimes gasped for air. I even woke up mid night with what I thought were anxiety attacks. I had always thought that apnea was the problem and asked Dr. Cooper to request a sleep study. Dr. Cooper’s response was, and I quote “Sleep studies are very expensive and very difficult to get. There is a lot of paperwork… involved and I am just not willing to do all that, as most of the time it gets rejected. I don’t want to waste my time. I can tell by looking at you that you don’t have apnea.“ Well five years later and another doctor, I described all my symptoms and the doctor said “Have you ever thought you might have Sleep Apnea!” I couldn’t believe it! I told her the story and she laughed and said “I’ll be happy to do the paperwork. I want you to feel better!” Lo and behold I have been suffering for 12 years of Sleep Apnea! 12 years of feeling exhausted all the time, gaining weight, anxiety and depression because nothing would make me feel better! I am a new person with my c-pap! Do I sound angry? That is because I AM! Thanks Dr. Cooper. Great job caring for your patient! Sorry that I was such an inconvenience? I hope you sleep well at night {insert sarcasm here}. I have my life back! No thanks to you!

I called office to ask for an explanation of an invoice for a charge of $35.00 for a Saturday visit. I asked why no one mentioned this at time of making the appointment, and suggested this should be stated when making a Saturday appt. The receptionist hung up on me. Really? I called back, and she hung up again. Now that's professional.

I have been bringing my disabled friend to Dr. Cooper for about three years now. My disabled friend is "High Maintenance" and can very easily get on your every nerve and he does it fast! And he can do this the first time you meet him! I love him to pieces, but he can be a bit much sometimes. Dr. Cooper has the patience of a saint! He treats my friend with respect, proper care and concern and he takes the time to listen. He will answer any questions you may have and if he is not sure about something he will always get back to you promplty. I highly recomend Dr. Cooper if your looking for a great doctor. I have been seeing my family doctor for many years now and he is a great doctor too, but I like Dr. Cooper better! And I have thought about switching more than once as I am so impressed with how he treats my friend. And everytime I bring my friend to see Dr. Cooper, I always wonder why I am not with him yet. I think it is my husband holding me back as my husband graduated… with our doctor and that is what has been holding us there. But I lke Dr. Cooper more!

It was my first time visiting Dr. Cooper's facility. The atmospher was professional as well as pleasant personalities of the employees. I look forward to visiting his practice again.
