Dr. Robert John Dagostini, MD

I had Hip Surgery in June 2023. The minute they had me up walking I knew something was drastically wrong. Dr D'Agostini lied to me for over 6 weeks. My hip - which was functional prior to the surgery was not useable after. I spent 3.5 months finding a revision specialist to fix what should have been the easiest surgery in the world as I has been working out 5 days a week and swimming nearly 2 miles a day to prepare for surgery so I would recover fast. Dr D'Agostini had other ideas. As I stated, my hip/leg was no longer functional. Thanks to him I will have lost a year of my life to recovery. I've experienced being on disability and excruciating pain. I've experience what it means to be disabled for an extended period of time (still on going), I assure you a very humbling experience. I agree D'Agostini can be a great surgeon, but there's a big risk that he's now taking - apparently shortcoming and not giving a crap. There's a posting on RateMDs that states it made by OR… Nurse that works with him. This person states that D'Agostini is now taking shortcuts so that he can keep up with the younger talented surgeons. They stated he's now practicing malpractice. I wish I would have come across this post prior to my surgery. It would have saved me a nightmare. Obviously to me, that is exactly what I've been living through.

RUN RUN RUN DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE DOCTOR

I had been suffering for several months with shoulder pain from a work related injury. I went to the doctor thinking I was in for extensive rehab work to fix the problem. The doctor injected the joint and gave me a set of exercises to do every day, with the option of going to physical therapy if I needed help with the joint therapy. After a few days of therapy targeted on the shoulder, I began to feel the joint regaining strength and improved range of motion. My only regret was that I did not make an appointment sooner to get some effective help to regain full use of N important joint. I appreciate a doctor who is efficient and effective in helping me reduce discomfort and regain functionality very quickly.

Dr. D'Agostini was thorough and explained his findings and treatment plan in detail. The best part was although I was apprehensive about getting an injection it didn't hurt at all.

this year, 2019, Dr. D'Agostini did a total shoulder replacement on my right shoulder. In 2003 my shoulder had been broken and a portion of the bone had to be removed. At that time Dr. D'Agostini suggested that when I was 60 years of age we should do a total shoulder replacement. With insurance changes, I had to choose other doctors through the last 12 years. Other doctors would not even look at the pictures that Dr. Diagostini had taken while repairing the damage as best as possible. Finally, at the beginning of 2019 our insurance changed and Dr. D'Agostin was once again in my plan. I made an appointment to sit and talk with Dr. D'Agostini about the process of a shoulder replacement. He offered alternatives o the surgery first. I then showed him the photos from his surgery over 15 years earlier and he was convinced that the replacement was the best choice, seeing as I was missing a portion of the shoulder. He gave me as much information as possible, answered all of my… questions and we scheduled all of the procedures needed to proceed with the surgery. Surgery went fantastic as I experienced very little pain. My greatest discomfort was staying in a sling for 3 weeks as required for this type of procedure. My rehabilitation went so well that Dr. D'Agostini allowed me to finish rehabilitation on my own after two months of going to physical therapy. I have experience little to no pain through the entire process. Prior to surgery my pain levels would spike to a 10 or higher, out of a 1 to 10 scale. Prior to surgery I had lost most of my range of motion in my shoulder and simple tasks caused great pain. oday, my range of motion is as close to normal as I can ever remember. My pain level after surgery never seemed to go above a 3 or 4, except when being stretched in physical therapy! Today, less than 6 months after surgery, I am still building my shoulder strength my pain is gone. I have hit golf balls further and straighter than ever before. I can bowl with no lingering pain in the shoulder after bowling. Little things that disappeared prior to surgery are returning. I can put a belt on with no pain. The list goes on for a long time. In short, Dr. D'Agostini gave my my freedom from shoulder pain and allowed me to do the things I love to do with confidence that I would not have to rely on aspirin to make it through the day! I would give Dr. D'Agostini and his entire team an A+ and my deepest thanks. Don
