Dr DeSwart treated me for a broken wrist. He arrived on a holiday weekend at the hospital and performed surgery right away. A successful surgery. It was a great experience to have such a personable and skilled doctor treat me and not have to worry about the outcome. I highly recommend Dr DeSwart.

Dr. DeSwart is wonderful. He took the time to listen, and in doing so was able to properly diagnose my injury. He repaired my injury (slap tear ) shortly after. His personality is great, and his knowledge and skills are remarkable.

Diagnosis: Infant DDH. Very hard to get information from/communication with de Swart. While, obviously, diagnosis and prognosis is an art, information about a likely plan of treatment should never be withheld from a patient or their caregivers. It was only aver >5 times asking the same reasonable question ("what would be a routine or likely course of treatment for my child with DDH") in different ways would de Swart actually answer in a straightforward fashion. Dr. de Swart is, in my opinion, a very competent physician - make no mistake about that. However, if you want to be involved in and informed about your child's care and prognosis, be advised that you will have to aggressively probe and actively advocate to obtain diagnosis, prognosis, and explanatory information from this physician.
