Dr. Robert Alan Diekroeger, MD

As a recently retired US Army Colonel and relocated to Atlanta, my wife and I were looking for a highly qualified doctor to provide primary care. Dr. Diekroger has outstanding credentials; but, he should instantly dismissed in patient care. I was unfortunately going the VA Disability Extensive review process that unveiled several unknown; but, curable issues. I had an physical by Dr. Diekroger. His office called me with a few disturbing tests results, ie an unusual PSA 4.1. I could not get him to take my phone;so, I spoke to his kind staff & got in the next day on a cancellation. I came prepared with 27 years of military medical history hoping this would and several key questions,ie Would a severe fever(104.6) days before the exam & blood affect the sudden increase in PSA? He disrespectfully dismissed my concerns & questions. He barked some orders at me & directed I address all my questions to the urologist. As I was leaving, the nurse informed that the dr. wanted a blood test to… check blood sugar again. I politely told her I would return for this. Apparently, Dr. Diekroger heard this after I was leaving. I went to a urologist for the first time about 48 hours later. The urologist was a breath of fresh air. He listened, reviewed my 27 years of medical records and performed very specific tests that unveiled a PSA 2.5. The urologist called me personally with good news a couple days later. Remembering what revealed to him about the extraordinary higher fever & difficulty urinating, he inquired if I told Dr. Diekroger about. I responded that I had and how he " dismissed me." The urologist was appalled and recommend I change doctors immediately and file a complaint. Adding " salt to the wound," I received a letter from Dr. Diekroger a couple of days later " inviting me to find another doctor." He just could not resist the temptation for continued cruelty. So, while Dr. Diekroger has impeccable credentials, if you want to avoid being dismissed by doctor or you value US Military Servicemen who have sacrificed Immeasurably for this country...DITCH DIEKROGER! DIEKROGER IS A DISGRACE FOR HIS LACK OF COMPASSION & DISMISSIVE ATTITUDE.

Dr. Diekroeger has been my physician for many years. He rates over a 5! He is consistent in his skill, compassion and caring . He is no doubt, the best In Atlanta !

Dr. Diekroeger is absolutely wonderful. The is timely, can identify a diagnosis with accuracy and very kind. Highly Recommend!
