Dr. Robert S. Feder, MD

My husband and I been a patient of Dr. Feder for well over 20 years, and have been extremely satisfied with his very human, very empathetic care. He is a top notch professional, and he gives solid reassurance. Sometimes there is a wait to see him, but that is because he gives patients the time they need. More than once either my husband or I have disrupted his schedule for an emergency, which is a great relief in time of need. The staff of the entire practice are all well trained, very polite and helpful.

I highly recommend Dr. Feder.

I stopped going to him because of his attitude but my mother continued to see him. I went with her to have a cataract removed. Federal initially put anesthetic inot the wrong eye and she had to stay in the hospital overnight, until she could open and close the eyelid in her good eye normally.

I had a great experience with Dr. feder and his team. I would recommend him to family and friends.

The waiting time is a minimum of two hours. Why? He books at least 3-4 people for the same time! I had my eyes diialated once and it wore off before they called me back!

Took an interest in me as a whole person. Spent time making sure I understood my condition and my choices for treatment. I had seen another doctor before, but it was Dr. Feder who made the correct diagnosis. He's very warm and caring. If a friend or a member of my family had an eye problem, I would highly recommend that they see him.

This physician was outstanding, a doctor's doctor. I had an unexpected emergency problem with my eye on a holiday and received care from other members of this group. They were also caring and responsive. I love this group!

First of all, I was told to get there early for paperwork, so I did, and there was no paperwork, so there's 15 minutes wasted. I wasn't actually called until 4:10; 55 minutes after my 3:15 appointment. Aside from that, the receptionists were curt, the nurse was downright rude, and Dr. Feder completely hijacked my reason for making an appointment and spent the entire time talking about something else. He wanted to followup in a month but is on vacation for three weeks at that time, and also wrote me an Rx for drops that I don't believe I need, for an issue I wasn't there for, and the kicker? They cost $1,200. He gave me no warning or so much as told me what they were, he just sent it electronically to the pharmacy like it was no big deal. Imagine my sticker shock the next day when the pharmacy told me the price. The pharmacy tried to calling him to see if he'd ok a generic formula (same drug but slightly different dose) and he has yet to return the call. Oh also I forgot to… mention: he told me to get images taken and forgot to tell the people who take them, so I sat there for another half hour after my appointment until the woman who takes images (the only nice person I encountered in the entire office) saw me on her way OUT THE DOOR for the evening. There were no other employees remaining except for the rude woman who you (over)pay.As far as the eye doctor goes, and I have seen many, I've never felt so rushed, silenced, and so much like a number as I did inside this office. I'm very serious about caring for my eyes, and will eat the cost of this visit in pursuit of finding a doctor that at least pretends that they care. I will never step foot in that office again. It infuriates me just thinking about how every facet except for one was absolutely terrible.
