Dr. Robert Keith Jackler, MD

Dr Jackler comes off as a very thoughtful and pleasant man. He also comes off as competent. This is a facade. I had surgery to remove an ear tumor a few years ago and this surgeon claimed he was very careful and left some tumor to keep integrity of facial nerve. This was not the case for me (and various others as you can research via the internet). He has damaged A LOT of facial nerves with a questionable track record. You may think that its just some nerve damage and could not be that bad until it happens to you. Esthetically, he took my symmetrical face and created great distortion which means a lot more $$ to try and fix SOME of the damage. Once nerves are damaged, they never completely regenerate in the best of cases. That does not sound like a big deal until you look at how it destroys symmetry of your face, causes serious injury to the eye etc.. He did claim there was a chance and life is full of risks but I would cut my chances by looking at some of the other doctors in this… field with much better track records. Also, he sewed my ear on improperly and offered to fix it. Why would I return to a doctor that did not get it right the first time. Finally, the fat grafting was sooo poor that it created a permanent deficit in the hip and more $$$. This surgeon is the absolute worst! Do not be fooled by a kind demeanor, it masks substandard skill and execution.

Dr. Jackler is a pre-eminent neurosurgeon, specializing in tumors of the ear. He is brilliant and has the most wonderful, personable, caring manner of any specialist I have ever known.
