Dr. Robert Michael Risica, MD

I've never met a more arrogant, rude, inappropriate "doctor". Disregarded my son's primary Dr's reports and basically threatened my son that if we moved forward with a tonsillectomy, he'd have a very bad experience, most likely with complications; even told my son that people have died from tonsillectomies. He attributed the repeated bouts of strep to not changing his toothbrush; we told him several times it's changed often. This is a common procedure that my son's doctor said is necessary; Risica is no "doctor".

Great with kids- he is honest and straight forward and very nice

I so appreciated Dr. Risica's attitude that he would only do surgery if it would make a person feel better (i.e., related to a deviated septum) - while saying that he liked doing the procedure (always good to go to a doc who enjoys their work after so many years!). I had seen another ENT for a different problem and had an MRI, but thought that maybe it would be helpful for this issue and Dr. Risica asked to look at it and gave a second opinion on all issues, which was comforting to hear. Also liked that he suggested an aloe vera ointment for nose bleeds - a more natural product.

I have complete Trust, Faith and Confidence in Dr. Risica and his Staff. They were and are absolutely amazing with my daughter. It is nice as a parent to really feel like your child is being cared for not just being treated. It really gives me Peace of Mind that she is in good hands with Dr Risica.

Enters into areas outside of his expertise. Tells patients that they may have cancer without recommending the proper doctor to you. Makes you very nervous about his findings in areas beyond his expert area.
