Dr. Robin R Brown, MD

After a few years of being a patient of Dr. Robin Brown, it is time for me to find a new doctor. There is a reason people say to trust your gut. So often, with medical professionals, I stupidly ignore it. From my first visit, I did not feel comfortable with Dr. Brown. She was cold, emotionless, and listened to my concerns as though she were reading a sign on the wall. She had come highly recommended from a close friend so I went back for another visit. And another. And another. Each time, thinking those were flukes and this visit would be better. I do not need a gynecologist to be my friend but I do need them to be more than a robot when my legs are in the air. I asked that a numbing cream or anesthesia be used before conducting a biopsy after the last one was incredibly painful. She said I wouldn't need a biopsy. Then did a biopsy. It was awful and hurt beyond belief as I cried and pleaded for her to please stop. The nurse said nothing the entire time and did not make eye contact… with me. Afterwards, I sat there in shock, weeping. I was given some paper instructions and the nurse and Dr. Brown both left the room. After all of her years of practice, I don't get how a doctor can behave that way. To ignore a patient's explicit request for pain medication prior to a procedure, to tell a patient a procedure would not occur and do the procedure anyway, and ignore a patient's cries to stop, are not what I want in a doctor.

She violated my privacy in the first visit. Did not follow protocols to handle sensitive health information. Second visit, she reviewed "my" results, which turned out to be someone elses. Had me worried for no reason. Last visit, I waited almost an hour to be seen. Same visit, I was in tears expressing specific concerns. Her response was dismissive and condesending. A total of three visits and never introduced me to her team. I found a new doctor the next day.

Dr. Brown has been my OBGYN and delivered my 2 boys...... I was in her care throughout. She is incredibly knowledgeable, has the best bed side manner, listens, and is very, very careful with everything that goes on during pregnancies. Her presence is comforting and calming... will forever be greatful to Dr. Brown for all of the care and support she provided! I look forward to seeing her as needed as my forever OBGYN!

Started as a patient with Dr. Brown in 1992. Had a great pregnancy and recommended many women to her.

Dr. Brown has been my GYN for over 20 years and even when I moved to New Jersey, I still travelled to New York because I did not want to switch being that she is the best!!!

Awesome bedside manner. Quick in and out visit but she actually took the time to listen to my concerns. She even called me personally to give me my test results.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brown's for about 17 years now. When I began with her, I had chronic issues with vaginitis & yeast infections. The minute I had issues I was able to make an appt at her practice, if not with her then with the NP or one of the other Drs. All were professional, helpful, concerned. I have been through some sensitive situations, she has gone above and beyond in making sure she was in touch, that I knew and understood all the necessary info, and that I got treated in a timely manner. I have referred other friends to her, some were not satisfied, but in my experience I have been nothing but.

I have been a patient with Dr. Brown for 15 years and the group helped me delivery my son. The group is composed so that you will know everyone and a stranger wasn't with me in the delivery room. Dr. Brown takes the time to speak with each patient, returns all calls and makes you feel welcome. I actually missed all those prenatal visits. Will never switch to anyone else.
