Dr. Ronald George Mills, MD

Dr. Mills treated my daughter after she was involved in a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. He was attentive and no nonsense regarding treatment and spot on regarding her surgery to repair her knee. He gave us realistic expectations for a huge hematoma that took up the entire length of her calf. I really appreciated his staff working with us regarding appointment times, and the effort it took dealing with our health insurance and vehicle insurance.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Mills. Though my situation was unusual, he was able to quickly and correctly determine my hip issue. He was appropriately cautious about performing surgery, but, once the severity of the situation was determined, I was scheduled to have the procedure done within days. It went well, and I have recovered quickly and completely. As for the criticisms I've read about his bedside manner, I found him to be pleasant, cheerful, and willing to discuss a variety of issues. He spoke into his recorder to take notes as he assessed my condition. It was interesting to know what he thought, rather than just see him write something in a notebook. He carefully explained to me every detail of what was wrong with my hip, why it had gone wrong, what would happen if it did not get fixed, and what to expect during and after the procedure. I would highly recommend him to others; however, due to Obamacare, he will be closing his private practice and leaving the… area for a hospital position elsewhere.

Even after surgery I still have knee problems he doesn't know what's wrong with my knee, says to "wait it out" Also expect to wait at least 30 min before he sees you so don't make the mistake I did and go during lunch break...

this DR. is nothing but a Doctor who has limited knowledge in knee injury and repair. i am still having problems with my knee after his surgery.

Dr. Mills is very knowledgeable, but he has poor people skills. Speaking more into his tape recorder than to me, he prescribed treatment I could not afford. When I repeatedly explained that what he suggested was cost-prohibitive, he repeatedly refused to consider other alternatives. The office was slow to return phone calls, and the billing department seemed rather testy. In their defense, they were busy at the time of my service, and Dr. Mills did visit with me for a good length of time. His questions were rushed, however, and I didn't always feel comfortable. I would recommend either visiting him once to see if you like him or starting somewhere else.
