Dr. Roy John Dunlap

Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever seen. I have never been so disrespected by a medical professional in my life. He was rude beyond belief, and yelled at me in his office. I should have reported him at the time, but was too shaken up to do so. I would recommend NEVER seeing Dr. Roy Dunlap. Beyond that, he completely missed my diagnosis. I told him what I thought the issue was, based on what a previous doctor had told me, and Dr. Dunlap responded "I have seen a thousand ears and a thousand throats and I can guarantee you 100% that it is not that". He also said that everything the previous doctor told me was "bullsh*t" (his words, not mine). He then referred me to an endocrinologist, which I asked him to do. He refused to refer me at first but then did, in his words, "only to prove me wrong." Well, I saw the endocrinologist and she figured out my diagnosis, which is the very same one I told Dr. Dunlap I thought it was, and which he told me he could "guarantee me 100%" that it's not… that. No one should talk to patients that way. It doesn't matter how many ears and throats a doctor has seen, there is no way they've seen every possible case, and Dr. Dunlap's kind of disrespect and overconfidence is scary and potentially harmful. If I hadn't pursued further care, and if I had believed everything he told me, who knows how long I would have continued to go undiagnosed. Something he thought was impossible turned out to be possible. Hopefully he can at least be humble enough to learn from that experience and better serve his patients.

He misdiagnosed a very serious condition. I recommend the Marshfield Clinic. They found the problem, did not torture me and fixed it via surgery. Dr. Dunlap is a very poor dr. That is evident that you can get an appt to see him with a day or two.
