Dr. Russell S Gonnering, MD

Dr. Gonnering did surgery on our son when he was 2 years old. He had a dermoid cyst in the corner of his eye area. He was thorough, careful, and very good with our son as well as mom and dad.He did the surgery at Children's Hospital. What impressed me the most was the morning of the surgery, my son had developed ever so slight of a cough. Dr. Gonnering listened to his chest and said, while it probably was nothing, it was more prudent to wait and reschedule. It didn't matter that there was now a gaping hole in the surgery schedule or that the surgical team now had to sit around. He put our son ahead of the convenience of everyone else. And, you know what?? Our son ended up with bronchitis two days later! That would have been a nightmare had he actually had the surgery. We are very grateful that we chose Dr. Gonnering.
