Dr. Stuckey is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas in 2000, and was a graduate with distinction. Following graduation he worked for a year with orthopaedic surgeons at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He then returned to Kansas to continue his training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Stuckey completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita in 2010, and a Spine Fellowship at the Texas Medical Center Spine Fellowship Program in 2011 where he received further training in spinal trauma, spinal tumors, and complex spinal reconstruction. Dr. Stuckey has published and presented a number of articles on the outcomes and treatment of Thoracolumbar Spine Fractures and chondrosarcoma of the mobile spine and sacrum. His special interests include traumatic spine injuries, sports related spine conditions, tumors …of the spine, and degenerative spinal disorders. Dr. Stuckey is focused on a team approach between patient and physician, formulating a treatment plan that allows his patients to maintain or return to an active lifestyle.

I went and saw Dr. Stuckey and after several surgeries I am finally out of pain. He is so compassionate, caring and concerning. I had several back injections but after no help we did a laminectomy with decompression and what a difference it made! His office staff are wonderful. It's like a great big family! They always had a smile on their face. His PA Katherine was wonderful. She came in on my follow up visit and went over all my results with me and then I saw Dr. Stuckey afterwards. If you are in pain and need to see a spinal surgeon you won't regret making an appointment to see him.

Dr Stuckey did two surgeries for me this year. The first went great without a hitch. The second I am still waiting on some nerves to heal before I can give a five star. I do know dealing with nerves has some calculated risk. I would and have recommended him to others.

I'm pleased with the outcome of my neck surgery and the healing process is on track. My only issue is having to wait long period of time in the waiting room to see Dr. Stuckey.

Dr. Stucky was great! My neck surgery was a success. He is always polite and asks and answers questions with knowledge and concern. I don't understand some of the other reviews. Would definitely recommend him & I have!

Waited over 2 hours to see Dr Stuckey, when he finally came in, he had this very cocky demeaning attitude. He was rude, spoke very condescending and didn’t care at all about his patients. He was wearing cowboy boots with these bright colored socks, it was quite inappropriate and unprofessional of him as a doctor. I felt as though I got better answers on google then I did sitting in front of him for the 90 seconds it took for him to say a few words that I already knew. I wish there were real doctors like the old days. These newer doctors are a joke.
