Dr. Sadia A Khan

Dr. Khan doesn't explain her diagnostic plan, approach - what tests are for, and isn't great at listening. She's the expert, however it would be helpful to find out that a patient has already stepped through the diagnostic protocols with a prior nuerologist, and to not start from scratch. The office is messy, with marks on the walls, a bit cluttered, with piles of papers in different rooms etc. The staff are courteous, and helpful, however they have different levels of training. Best for someone to admit what they do or don't know. Best not to have office staff answering questions for patients about lab tests etc.

I saw the good reviews about this dr. and I decided to make an appointment. the first apointment, when i got there, and they told me the dr. has been hospitalized. so i understand , it is ok. I hope she feels better. so I make a second appointment after the dr. recovered. i called an hr before my appointment time to confirm and it was confirmed. I arrive at the dr. office and I find out that the dr. has to reschedule and they ask me to come 2 hrs later. I think the place is not professional whatsoever, if the dr is important and busy so as the patients. they have no regards for sick people whatsoever. I was so upset and decide not to make a 3rd appointment with that dr.

I showed up for my appointment knowing that I would have a wait because Dr. Khan always seems to be busy. On this particular day she was extremely busy and I had to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time, so I wasn't very happy. Dr. Khan did apologize and so did her staff. Her staff is always so nice and courteous. I'm not real sure about her diagnosing my problem, Dr. Khan came up with somethings that I would never have thought of...

I had to wait quite a while to be seen, past my appointment time. But she was worth it. She was very thorough and precise. She is the first doctor I have seen about my symptoms that offered possible solutions. I didnt feel rushed through my appointment, and I felt free to discuss any small thing I might suspect is related to my problem. She asked plenty of questions to try and get to the bottom of whats wrong with me. Over all, I was very pleased and glad to have found her. I highly recommend her!

I had an EEG done and the technologist did not do a good job of explaining what would be happening. She appeared bored. I thought Dr. Khan knew her stuff and was thorough, but I felt that she was very rushed and didn't take a lot of time explaining test results or informing me of the new medication I would be taking, what I should expect, etc. Even though she was rushed, I made a point of asking her questions to get the information I needed. But, I think that, as a doctor, she should've been the one educating me abou these things upfront.

Dr. Khan I would not recommend. The first time she quickly explained why she would order an MRI and blood tests, and some possible causes of my symptoms. She could not answer my question. Then, Aetna would not pay for an MRI without her explanation, but her office secretary failed to give that information to her. I had to call several times. I was told it was done, and it was not. Finally, the MRI was OK'd. After I returned to her, I waited while she chit chatted with her staff and watched me sitting there. In my appointment, I realized that she lost my MRI report so I gave her the one I collected on my own from the hospital. She spent all of 10 minutes and told me she didnt know what was wrong, suggested an infectious disease doc might know. when I told her I would then follow up with an infectious doc, she said "well, you would be wasting your time...some symptoms just dont have answers." She did not look over my bloodwork with me, took a call in the middle of my appointment and… discussed the man's personal business in front of me, etc. Awful. Dont go. I walked away with my jaw hanging open in shock.

I was not treated by Dr. Khan. I was treated by a man, whose name I did not know, who was being directed by Dr. Khan throughout my proceedure, which involved painful electric nerve stimulation.Does not understand Tricare system. Not prepared to provided requested service by referring physician because office staff failed to notice the faxed referral from Tricare. Not recommended for Military patients.
