Dr. Salah Uddin Qureshi, MD

His assistant represented him 100% of the time. She maintained that Qureshi had designed the unit and treatment at Mainland Hospital which had extensive patient facilities as well as numerous awards. The hospital staff confirmed that none of that was true. The patient had books thrown at her by other patients; she was screamed at by other patients; and the nurse did nothing to protect her. The patient also had a diagnosed kidney infection that was never treated. Qureshi NEVER even spoke to the patient until the day she was released from the hospital. On that day, he wanted to make sure that there would be future 'extensive therapy'--3 times a week. With whom? Qureshi or his assistant? The staff at the hospital was very derogatory about him and his assistant. They confirmed that his assistant and Qureshi frequently lied about patient treatment and that there were NO awards of any kind. The patient's family was given an extensive list of patient therapies that supposedly… occurred daily. The hospital staff confirmed that nothing of the kind existed. This physician is a charlatan and figured out how to finance a hospital unit with lies--no one has investigated...YET. When Bay Area Regional Hospital went bankrupt, he was not invited to join the honest physicians at Clear Lake Regional. The best thing that could have happened to anyone who somehow finds themselves tangled with him and his 'award-winning', nonexistent hospital program.

Dr Quershi is a complete embarassment to the Healthcare system. As a fellow medical professional I sought his assistance on a professional level. I am now reporting him to the state for gross incompetence and unprofessional ethic. Beware to any potential patients.
