Dr. Samuel Bruce Pegram, MD

Read your notes he writes during your visits. Most of them are him incorrectly writing information and symptoms you told him, or it’s comments he’s rudely making about you. Bed side manner poor. Treats you like a number.

Dr. Pegram left Houston Tx with probably thousands of patients unannounced who does that. I got up this morning trying to make an appointment and found out he was no longer here.

He has been my doctor since 2002 when I was diagnosed with Lupus. His staff is always friendly and the guy that sits in the lobby has the best attitude in the world.

I have been seeing Dr. S. Pegram for a couple of years now, and I like him as a doctor very very much. However, I'm in agreement with some of the other reviews his staff needs some work. There is entirely to much chit-chat among the staff, to many staff members sitting around the desk talking about their life and other chatter loudly. Secondly, I agree there are to many appointments, I have had with the PA'S. I had to demand to see the doctor and the staff was acting like I was asking for something wrong. I travel to far to see the doctor, just to have to see a PA every time whom can't do some things a doctor can do. I was told " I HAD TO SEE WHOM EVER WALKS INTO MY ROOM". I stated to them " IF THE DOCTOR DON'T WALK IN MY ROOM I WANT A REFUND", the doctor came in.

Dr. spent a lot of time and asked lots of questions. Very nice and caring. Very happy with the dr. so far. Staff could be more pleasant, as other reviews have stated.

I really like Dr. Pegram. I do agree about having to see P.A.s and N.P.s. However, I ask to see him and he always comes in to talk to me after P.A. examines me. I have to say though, I like his PAs. All drs seem to be doing the same thing. He is very caring and listens to me. I have been seeing him for a couple of years now. The wait time has increased though. Some of his staff needs some people skills, especially his nurse. I never have a problem getting an appt. I was treated for RA for years and was misdiagnosed. He really tries to help me. I would recommend him!

I been a patient for over three years. I only met Dr. Program once in those three years. Don't get me wrong, he is a good doctor that can loss his patients if he don't get his office staff some training. I been waiting for an appointment for my Fibromyalgia for over a month. I call they put me on hold. Just to tell me they will call me back and don't. Going to a new doctor.

The most memorable visit I had is when I was going through a nasty divorce, I lashed out at Dr. Pegram. "I said you don't care about me or my situation!" He assured me that he does and that he does not want any of his patients to feel like that. He sat down and calmed all my concerns. To me that is a caring Doctor. He is not just concerned about the physical being but the "TOTAL PERSON". You are the BEST! I am so proud to be a patient of yours! God Bless!
