This care team is EXCEPTIONAL!!! I feel so blessed to have been referred to them. They are about to change my life so much for the better! I felt so well taken care of, listened to, informed. It's what I've always dreamed I deserved but never thought I would find. Thank God for all of you!

I had minimally invasive spinal surgery with Dr. Kunwar less than two weeks ago. I am pain freer for the first time in almost 2 years, and I am deeply grateful to Dr. Kunwar and his team. From my first contact with Dr. Kunwar's office, up until my discharge from Washington Hospital I was treated with respect, courtesy, timeliness, empathy, sensitivity, and professionalism. I am deeply appreciative of how I was handled throughout the entire experience. Dr. O.

Dr. Kumwar and Sam his P.A. have been wonderful. They have given me the information I need regarding my condition, and I believe they are the best team to take care of my brain tumor. Dr. Kumar is very knowledgeable and professional, and gives much attention to detail as is needed for a situation like this. I wouldn't trust myself to any other neurosurgeon.

I had surgery with Dr. Kunwar in 2008, and to date have not had a recurring problem. He is kind, patient, understanding, compassionate, intelligent, and very concerned about the welfare of all of his patients. And will always make time to answer any questions if possible by e-mail. I also had an unfortunate experience though with Diane Hollander. She was mean, rude, and very unprofessional. I am happy though to report that she was thankfully replaced by Patient Coordinator Christina Cortez. Christina is very professional, answers all of your questions & concerns in a timely manner, and has a good heart for the patients. She also makes sure to relay all messages to the doctor.

He removed a prolactinoma 7 months ago and he did a great job. My first doctor had missed the prolactinoma on my MRI and was planning to remove a cyst (which wasn't the tumor and didn't need to be removed) I am so glad I went to Dr. Kunwar for a second opinion, he is very very intelligent showed me my MRI and showed me the actual tumor that had been missed. He has a very gentle personality, lets you ask all the questions you have...excellent bedside manner. However his clinical coordinator (Diane Hollander) is terrible, she is careless, and incosiderate. She would make mistakes and not tell Dr. Kunwar about them. She even told me the wrong time of my surgery then she blame it on me, but I after I catched her lying she blamed it on the surgery prep. unit. This added tremendous amount of unnecessary stress right before the surgery. I would recommend when you meet Dr. Kunwar, you ask him a way that you can get in touch with directly or else Diane may never give him the message.

Dr. Kunwar did a very good job removing a recurrent pituitary tumor. My case was complex but I felt that I was in very good hands. Dr. Kunwar spent close to 2 hours with me during the surgical consultation, provided a lot of information, answered my questions, and even showed me my MRI films and explained how they are read. After surgery, he stopped by very briefly while I was in recovery and then I did not hear from him again. However, I know he is very accessible (can email him directly if I wish) and would answer any question or provide whatever information I requested. His bedside manner is professional and courteous. I would (and have) recommended him to others with pituitary tumors.
