Dr. Scott Irwin Bell, MD

Dr. bell is a terrific doctor. He takes time with you and tries to figure out the problem. If he does not know he is not afraid to refer you to a specialist.

Dr. Bell is an excellent Doctor. He listens attentively, asks pertinent questions,and always finds an accurate diagnosis. My cardiologist told me I had a great internist when I told him of a tratment plan Dr. Bell suggested for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I lost my long time doctor to retirement several years ago and have gone through several doctors trying to find one I feel comfortable with. Dr. Bell is that doctor - finally. He spends the time with me that I need, something I have not found in the past several doctors I tried. He has helped me with several issues (thankfully none are major) but is also very available if I have a problem. He promptly returns phone calls or emails and is proactive in keeping me healthy. He is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Honestly, he is everything I need from a doctor. And, that is a big relief after going through several doctors to find one that I feel comfortable with.

I inherited Dr. Bell when I married my husband of two and half years. We enjoy the Concierge Program with him. He is, by far, the best internist who has ever treated me. His responses to me and my inquiries are always timely and spot on. So difficult these days to find a doctor of this caliber.

Dr. Bell is my regular Family Physician. Just over one year ago ((Feb 2013), I had a health episode that I assumed was due to the flu. I called Dr. Bell's office and was given an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived, Dr. Bell asked me a few questions about my illness, did some tests, and his usual checkup. I noticed that he was a bit concerned and that he was asking me questions that I had not expected, and ordering a few more diagnostics to be done than what might have been usual. He returned to me and said that he had just spoken with my Cardiologist, and both wanted me to go to Fairfax Inova Hospital ER to have my heart checked out immediately. When I arrived at the hospital, diagnostics were done and I was admitted to the hospital. A week later I was recovering from open heart surgery and replacement of my Mitral valve. And I thought it was the flu. After the surgery in follow ups with my Cardiac doctor, he mentioned that I was fortunate that I was seeing Dr.… Bell for my primary care needs. He said that most physicians would probably miss the subtle diagnostic clues that showed something much more serious than "the flu." The outcome could have been much more serious had this diagnosis not been done by Dr. Bell. I have been using Dr. Bell as my Primary Care physician for over 8 years, and I could not be happier with he and his staff. They are cordial, very well informed, and never make me feel that I am being rushed. Dr. Bell is exceptionally bright, very friendly, and also very thorough in his practice. I have never left an appointment feeling that I was either rushed or not understood during the time together. I trust him fully.

Dr. Bell is an intelligent man, Ph.D. in Chemistry, and a real People Person. He LOVES to teach and lights up when I ask him a question. I think HIS favorite question is: "Do you have any other questions?" I now know HOW my medications work. :-) Do yourself a big favor - write your questions down before your appointment, and make that appointment with Dr. Bell. I've been doing that for over 10 years now. Lucky me !! :-)

Dr. Bell is a very attentive and good listener seeking to ensure that his diagnosis of the problem is as accurate as possible. He spends as much time as is necessary. Dr. Bell always follows up with me after my visits. Overall, I find Dr. Bell to be an excellent internal medical physician.

Just wanted to take a second and let everyone know that I highly recommend Dr Scott Bell. I've been a patient of his for years and this past twelve months as been a real challenge for me, I'm so thankful he's been there every step of the way. I'm an active Senior who is into running and cycling and one of Dr Bell's strengths is his understanding of sports and sports medicine. I highly recommend him to you, he's knowledgeable, personable, and patient - what more could you ask for in a Doctor?

Dr. Bell spends time with you and listens to your concerns and problems. He works with you in figuring out the problem and the best way to treat it. Dr. Bell follows up with you after your visist to find out how you are doing.

My husband and I have been very satisfied patients of Dr. Bell for about 7 years. He is very knowledgable and caring. He really makes you feel like you are his only patient, never rushes you. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
