Dr. Scott C. Mitchell, MD

First I would like to say that I am not too hard to please. But I should be when it comes to my health. I do not like to write bad reviews, but I will try to be as objective as I can. In 2011, I was looking for a primary care physician. I have been out of work for some time and needed my 40-something check-up. I got an appointment set up and was advised to "fast" for blood work. When I arrived, the people at the front desk seemed oblivious to my first-appointment scheduled that day. (and that was not Doctors fault) It turns out I did not have blood work for that day and it was re-sceduled. When I did see the Doctor, he did state several times I could see another Doctor if I want.(Why?) Also . . . when I did speak to the doctor stating my concerns, he had a medical reference book he was thumbing through when I stated my basic medical concerns. It seemed like a medical version of a Websters dictionary. It seemed rather odd a doctor would do this while talking to the patient. On my 2nd… visit - - - I did get blood work. I did not feel my physical was as detailed as what I would have expected. I thought I would have a prostate examination too . . . in which the doctor stated I would have to do that on another visit. Honestly, I did not feel any level of compassion or caring from this office. Nobody called me back for anything. I fealt as if I initiated the dialogue. After no response and leaving numerous messages (asking about my blood-work) - - - I finally got a response from his PA 2 months later . . . in which it was brought to my attention of a high cholesteral count. Doctor Scott C Mitchell is a nice person. I just question the level of professionalism with him and the staff members. I am sorry to say, but I will not come back.

Dr. Mitchell is very gentle with a very caring "bedside" manner. Hetakes the time to explain in normal terms so any condition pertaining to you is easily understandable. Very refreshing outlook on choices available. Highly recommend.

An excellent doctor; I am so happy to see that he is able to provide service to a smaller community and is doing well. I also applaud him with respect to not treating people with potential addiction issues. The world needs more doctors like him.

Dr. Mitchell helped me lose weight and has also treated injuries and illnesses for my husband and both of our kids. It is obvious why he was recently chosen Best of the Best by readers of the Chattanooga Times Free Press as both a weight loss clinic and in the best general practice physician category. Thank you to Dr. Mitchell and his helpful and friendly staff for all that you do for my family.

He was a caring Doctor whose bedside manner was excellent. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room and the professional staff was very nice. We need more Doctors like him. He diagnosed my problem and really listened to what I had to say.

I have lost a bunch of weight, look and feel much better but more importantly I have been able to come off the medications that I used to take for my high blood sugar, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Thanks so much to Dr. Mitchell and to your wonderful and very friendly office staff!

I had lost almost 50lbs in 4 months at Millennium Medical and Weight Loss under Dr. Mitchell's supervision but the thing that impressed me the most was how he has been able to help my family using his skills as a family physician. I had to bring my 10 year old daughter with me to one of my appointments when she was home sick from school; I asked the doctor if he could take a look at her. He listened to her problems and quickly was able to diagnose and treat her illness. He had a great way of interacting with her and made her smile and laugh despite the fact she wasn't feeling very well. His ability to squeeze her in and treat her illness promptly and effectively prevented me from have to sit in a packed waiting room at her pediatrician's office and be exposed to a bunch of other kids who were also home sick from school. Thanks a bunch Dr. Mitchell!

After going to several doctor's in the area that just didn't seem to care, I finally saw Dr. Mitchell who not only helped me with my problems, but he actually took the time to listen to what I had to say and he was genuinely concerned about me as a patient and as a person.He is truly a caring physician and he has excellent bedside manner.I have and will continue to recommend him to all my friends!

I was very satisfied with my overall visit at Millennium Medical and Weight Loss Center. All of my concerns were addressed and explained in terms that I could understand!

Dr Mitchell is the only doctor I will ever go to. He listens to all my problems and always fixes me right up. Being a business owner I can not afford to be at home sick, Scott always dials up the perfect medicen to take care of my whole family and I. He will be my personal doctor for many years to come.
