Dr. Scott Eric Raub, DO

This was a very thorough exam and was communicated very clearly. Dr. Raub spent an unusual amount of time with me to conduct a clinical exam and review my images. He’s unexplained several options and a procedure that he felt was appropriate for my condition.

Dr Raub reads the MRI, asks questions and makes it his mission to figure out how to treat the problem causing pain. I don't get to see him very often because he cures the pain and it lasts for 12 years.

Dr. Raub always takes time to understand and works through problems and providesgreat medical advice that’s easily understood.

Wash my face got right in a the appointed time. Staff very courteous and professional. Dr Raub very through with his diagnosis reference my back pain. And we established a plan going forward with physical therapy and muscle relaxers to strengthen back muscles. Very courteous and Professional.

I went in with severe shoulder & neck pain. Dr. Raub knows his stuff and was very helpful in figuring out a plan. Definitely recommend!

I am a retired healthcare professional and have seen many of the Vail Ortho docs over the years. All are experts and I would not go elsewhere. Dr. Raub was thorough, interactive, and I trust his expertise and care plans.

I was unimpressed w Dr Raub. I am in the field, and very reluctant to criticize. While his professional expertise, skill and competence may be good (I don't know, all I was there for was an exam and radiographs), his empathy towards me as a patient was sorely lacking. As a pain specialist he showed absolutely zero interest in my pain or what he could do to help me until we figure out the exact location or cause of my back pain. While I understand this pragmatic, objective approach, a doctor should also be a healer and comforter. I felt like I was an inconvenience to him. No patient should ever leave a doctors office feeling this way.

Since he is a DO who has supposedly been holistically trained, I was expecting a somewhat holistic approach to my care. Nothing could have been further from the truth. He was interested in only one thing: putting a label on the body part that I presented with (probable disc herniation in my back). He was visibly annoyed by my questions. He had no interest whatsoever in how this problem would impact my life, or more importantly, how I landed there in the first place. I tried to give him an impression of issues that had led up to the injury and he was completely uninterested. He GLARED at my husband for the apparent offense of his existence in the exam room with me. Seriously, go somewhere else if you want someone to care.
